I realize that a lot of people weren't so high on Roy either when we drafted him, so I'm willing to keep an open mind. I just don't want to hear anyone say that their scout friend thinks he's the next Jerry West...

Jimmer has a huge repertoire of shots also. What he doesn't have is Terry's quickness. Other than that, they actually are rather similar...but the quickness makes a massive difference in terms of getting to the hoop against NBA defenses.

He tested out at the predraft camp as one of the quickest/fastest players in the draft.

Both Terry and Jimmer can get their own shots, and can shoot from everywhere on the court. They can also effectively handle the ball and run a pick an roll. I don't know why some people disdain the idea of drafting Jimmer so much, but the guy is a legit prospect who we'd be lucky to grab if he fell to 21.

Jimmer has Nash-like athletic ability -- He's quick but not explosive.

That write up pretty much sums up what I thought when I watched him in the tounament. Good but not great. A tweener. Will be fine in the right system. Athletic enough to play in the NBA ,but comparatively speaking nothing special.

I just don't see this guy getting the same kind of shots off like he did in college. At the very best he will turn out like Ben Gordon. Which is not bad. But again I see that as a best case scenario. Great guy to have coming off the bench.
