Does the fact that the CJ deal is now CJ for Hart and Grant make it a better return?

Depends on the extension. If it's a max contract idk...I guess it's better that it's going to a forward versus two max's in our guard spots.

there were some people that held off on crucifying Cronin because of this very scenario. And yes, obviously it does.

Wait, we actually traded a 1st and 2 seconds + a pick swap.

We owned Detroit's 2025 second rounder. So we gave that back.

Basically the 1st we got in the McCollum deal + the 2nd we got in the Powell deal + the 2nd swap we got in the McCollum deal for Grant

Ehhh. I liked it better if we kept the Detroit 2nd, but it's fine I guess.

And if things don't work out with Grant, do we get to do the reverse uno card and call him a moron for the CJ trade?

for all we know Detroit could be good by 2025 with prime Cade + other pieces. Their second might be in the 45-60 range. Not too worried (yet).

Yes, yes it does. I would have done that trade without a second thought. I don’t care HOW he got it done, but he got it done. Now draft Murray, Sharpe, Daniels, Duren or Sochan in that order if available. Although Im tempted to bump Sochan a bit. I wish we could somehow get two of those guys like Sochan and Duren if we trades for Charlotte’s picks and then got lucky as they fell to us. A guy can dream!!!

In my opinion and probably recency bias, in terms of what we gave up to get (and also understanding my not wanting grant) this may be the best trade he's done so far.

Shrewd, even. This was what Olshey thought he was doing when he did his shitty shrewd moves. This is actually shrewd in terms of a players potential asking price and negotiating down to a win for us. I don't think that Mil 2025 is gonna be good at all unless giannis gets injured in 2024 and you can't control that.

Extend Cronin!!!!!!!!!!!!

Phenomenal that we did it with a 2025.

What is the story on his contract? Is this a one year rental or do we have a shot at some time with him?

I don't understand the Denver part..... how do they fit into this?

So CJ and Nance for Hart, Grant, Didi and Ingles. Fire Cronin!

Hm, so either the 7 is going to Portland, or maybe to Toronto for OG?

But do they need OG and Grant?

So now it looks like:

McCollum, Powell, Covington and Nance

For

Grant, Hart, Winslow, Johnson

It's ummm, okay I guess.

It just hurts a little less.

The clippers trade will always be unforgivable but I may at least leave the door unlocked on that now lol

Now it’s pretty much assured we will be making a pick in the first tomorrow. Sharpe/Daniels looking real good now. But I can’t lie, that theoretical OKC offer is pretty intriguing still.
