This was cool, the only thing that ruined it was Sterling dumb nickname & his very annoying THHHHEEE YAAANNKKKKEEEEEESSS WIN.

Thanks for posting these Yankee Classic Videos.

I'll watch 'em when I get my chores done today, something to look very forward to......

What a sweet swing he had. And who the hell was that Earl guy talking in the back ground?

Geezus Christ, I forgot just how big of a Giant Frank Howard was. Even this video does his size no justice. Howard was a Monster in Person. Shades of Don Baylor, Boog Powell....Men over 6' tall, with a XXXL shoulder customized Jersey.....

There's been quit a few big men, Willie Horton, Harmon Killebrew, even Bo Jackson, Ryan Howard (no slouch), Skowron, all were big men, intimidation hitters. Of all these greats I've seen play in person, none seemed as big as Frank Howard, Baylor and Powell.......

A past golden era much more simpler and innocent....!

Earl the Pearl Stunning Dunning, a last moment replacement for Rizzuto, who had a stroke, earlier in the day.

Earl sounds like He's the one who had a stroke. Talk about gibberish, an amateur announcer. No wonder so many people watching any game called by Earl, had a Keg they spent more time tapping, than listening to Earl the Pearl.

He was the kind of announcer, who makes me turn the TV off, and listen to the Radio play by play....WTF- "one too many Cannolies," or "His power hitting days are gone?"......reminds me too much of Howard Cossell calling MNF games, at any time, out of the blue, Howard would disappear from the Press booth, after the 2nd half began, cuz he was blasted drunk.....!!!
