"ML SS FOD ALOTO TN" rearranges to "Almost Soft Dolt". Sounds like a character in most sports movies, or "Dolts most aloft", which sounds like the plot of many more...Major League
Slap Shot
Field Of Dreams
A League Of Their Own
The Natural
???
Is that movie even considered good by...anybody?
Never seen it, but from what I'm reading, near the very bottom of the listWhere does this one rank?

I liked it as a teenage boy. Not sure where it ranks... But it's definitely worth the watch.Where does this one rank?

Oakland Coliseum was there in 1951? Did you get to meet Paul Douglas?I was an extra sitting in Oakland Coliseum bleachers in Angels in the Outfield. Never saw the movie.

How did I forget Hoosiers? Best sports movie ever!Hoops Dreams tops many lists and cannot argue with it. Really captured why there are so many transfer rules and the high school basketball system.
Hoosiers will always be special to me. The small town politics of sports live on and it was pretty high back then in the Midwest.
Slapshot stands the test of time.
As said before, I still watch and laugh at Kingpin. Probably the most quoted movie by me as well as what I was known by in the Navy (Big Ern).
The Hustler was a great flick! Jackie Gleason I dont recall stared in many movies but he was super, in that one!The Hustler and the sequel, The Color of Money
