COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Former No. 1 overall pick Greg Oden said this week he'll be remembered as the "biggest bust in NBA history."

He already said this. Is he going to check back every year and let us know if he's still the biggest bust? I wonder who he ultimately knocked off to claim the throne?

"I know I’m one of the biggest busts in NBA history and I know that it’ll only get worse as Kevin Durant continues doing big things … It’s frustrating that my body can’t do what my mind wants it to do sometimes. But worrying or complaining about it isn’t going to fix anything … I wish the circumstances would let me play more, but I certainly don’t regret coming back, and I don’t regret signing with the Heat.”

Sam Bowie...

Feel Privileged we swept the top two spots....

It's totally ridiculous. He's not the biggest bust. Not by a mile.

Hasheem Thabeet. Picked #2 ahead of Harden. Horrible horrible horrible player. Never dealt with the same injuries as Oden.

Michael Olowokandi. Picked ahead of Vince Carter, Paul Pierce, Dirk Nowitzki.

Darko Milicic. Picked ahead of Wade, Melo, and Bosh.

There's simply no way that Oden is the biggest bust. He was a huge disappointment because of his injuries, but he played well when he was actually healthy.

I'd put Adam Morrison on the list

He definitely looks to have added weight to his frame, and you can also tell he walks with a hitch in his gate.

shame his body just wasn't meant for basketball.

To tell the truth, I would have completely forgotten him by now if people would stop posting about him!

Ah the man with the paper machet knees! I know sometimes knees Are just bad, but he betrayed Portland by hiding and lying about his knees. Fuck him, Portland should get a free pick for that shit

Any name outside of one or two in the top 10 of the 06 draft class could be considered a bigger bust than Oden.
I'd say looking at just the #1 overall pick that Andrea Bargnani is a bigger bust than Greg Oden.

Especially if you take $$$$ into account.

Funny how nobody says Len Bias. If Oden's a bust because his knees went, what does that make somebody who FUCKING DIED?

That is a good point. I wonder if he's not mentioned because he never played and thus was easily forgotten, or if there is some kind of taboo because of how he died?

Wasn't dudes fault his knees were bad. I wouldn't call him the biggest bust. However, I do remember him not taking his recovery seriously by partying damn near every night though. That was frustrating.

Yeah uhhhh oden, given his expectations, is a huge fucking failure. Definitely a top 5 bust of all time.

I think only blazer fans will remember that Oden was actually on his way to becoming a very good player. At least at the level of Drummond. He was a dominant rebounder, good shot blocker, and very good finisher around the basket.

I think we picked Mykul Thompson over Larry Bird. Not that Thompson was a bad player.

How many HOF players have we passed up? I think Bowie is the biggest bust.
