good God.

@BlazerFreeman...if there is more to LA's exams than just a physical, i'm road tripping back to portland to jump off a bridge

-maxey.

I call bullshit. How can you restructure a QO?

BNM

Storyteller posted something interesting from a previous CBA about if you know you're phyically unable to perform you can't accept the QO. The team negotiates a smaller amount and we keep the right of first refusal. This situation could actually work out well for us.

Roy retires and now this? I just want to know what Portland did to deserve the wrath of the NBA gods . . . I mean, seriously, how much suffering can a fan base take?

Anybody else reporting this, or is it just the latest rumor from Jason "Marc Iavaroni is the next Blazers Coach" Quick?

BNM

Suffers setback and they restructure his QO to a lesser amount tells me that he did something he wasn't supposed to do.

He was unsupervised in L.A. and I wouldn't be surprised if this came from a drunken stooper at some nightclub. Remember his quote he told some Laker fan this summer: "I'm not thinking about basketball right now, I'm just here to get tipsy"

Sorry go not playing is a disaster

You're not watching Blazers.com are you?

Casey just said that LA is not here today because doctors evaluated him extra sensitively because of the recent event at Or. State.

I had a feeling it had something to do with his heart

IF this is true than oden is done here. if he isn't going to play at all this season, then it is time to move forward with the pieces we have and put the whole late 2000's team behind us.

Well what if Oden says he'll stay on for a cheap deal for the mini-MLE? If he wants to stay in Portland for some reason then maybe in 3 years he has one good season and can help us in the playoffs. Think of Walton having a good season here or there in Boston. I'd keep Oden for a super cheap contract, but yeah if he wants more then MLE he's probably done here.

FUCK FUCK FUCKITY FUCK.

I was at peace with Roy's retirement. this just fucking blows huge greg oden cock.

Canzano, is that you being irresponsible with reporting again?

My point is that him sitting out most of the season if not another year and getting 100% healthy with us having the option to retain his rights is preferable to having him sit out a chunk of the season and not getting much time to evaluate his value before we have to offer him another contract.

Essentially, we get a QO mulligan.

How many games until Batum hurts the shoulder again?

Wesley's ankle?

Before i go jump off a bridge Oden is still cleared 4 limited practice right. Even though he had a setback he is still cleared to practice so It can't be all doom and gloom.

But would we even take that? My god this is worse than Sam bowie. At least we got a couple years and buck Williams.

Marcus Camby | Kurt Thomas

Holy shit. This season is going to suck.

A setback doesn't mean he needs another MF. It's just a setback that doesn't allow him to accept the QO for this year. The entire issue may be procedural. If so, it's good news for us, because he was going to miss the first part of the season anyway.

NEED MORE DETAILS AND INDEPENDENT CONFIRMATION!!!!

You thought Oden was a terrible basketball player. Why would this be any kind of blow in your mind?

They obviously didn't have a plan-B for this.

You have a broken down Camby and a 40 year-old Kurt Thomas (maybe) as your center rotation.

1080 radio guys just said Blazers released statement basically backing up what Quick tweeted. Oden and Blazers are standing by each other and trying to work out mutually beneficial deal.
