Well, I'm fine if we offer greg a multi-year contract now for a low figure. screw it, he can medically retire on us later if he needs to.

best case scenario here. drive his price down.

And really, if he was returning to action in Feb, he's only missing 3-4 months. This isn't the train wreck folks want it to be.

Best case scenario is he earns a big fucking payday. Sorry but getting him cheap means shit to me if the troll can't play on he fucking court. Obviously this kid doesn't give a shit to get back to playing.

what the fuck does a "Setback" mean anyway? Did he re-injure himself 'running' the other day or did he not heal correctly? Or.........was he too busy partying and not rehabbing like he should?

Yes, it is true. Greg is purposefully setting himself back to screw himself out of tens of millions of dollars.
 
Joel Freeland would be a godsend right now.

Well at least this won affect the non-plan set by Larry Miller and Paul Allen.

Whoa... calm the fuck down. Oden doesn't want to be injured any more then Roy did. Injuries happen to basketball players and all athletes all the time. Is Yao a troll as well?

That's what I'm saying. If the kid was smart, he would do anything and everything to get back and prove he's worth max or damn near close. Instead he methodically takes this rehab to a point where he may not even be able to play this season?! Other playes like Zach and amare that come back and strong in 1.5 years.

Mags its all your fault for doing those bets. Luckily I picked LA so I am still good to go but at the rate it's going so far, I might be out by the end of the night.

The report is he wasn't following the rehab procedure. That means he just doesn't care. Roy and Yao want to come back and tried hard to. So far, he has proven he hasnt

Yes, let's talk about Amar'e. How Amar'e came back too soon, put too much pressure and compensated with his other leg and played three games before being shut down again. A sound move.

You'll remember Greg had his microfracture surgery 13 months ago, so that requires another 5 months until it is 1.5 years. He was doing 5 on 5 less than a year after his first microfracture (hey, remember that, this wasn't his first), and his doctor for this one gave him an 18 month recovery schedule. Shockingly, November 2010 to December 2011 is not 18 months.

Additionally, let us recall two other items: Second microfracture was on his knee that was also still recovering from having its patella broken, and his doctors up until this point have said he is right on schedule.

So unless you want Greg to randomly develop mutant genes that allow him to go massively ahead of schedule to appease you, I don't know what you want. For people here to childishly suggest he went out last night in a drunken stupor and celebrated in LA (hey, he was in Colorado and then flew to Portland) without any evidence is irresponsible and defamatory.

Greg is a good kid who has done everything the organization has asked him, they all say he is a tireless worker who hits rehab as hard as he is able. I'm really sorry some of you are upset that waaaaah we're really fucking cursed and oh god this must be Greg's fault because fuck him of course he isn't trying hard enough (hey, everyone else says he's a really hard worker but we'll make our own reality to fit our pity party) and I bet he's actually sabotaging himself so he can't earn tens of millions of dollars in contract and endorsements.

Because clearly, that is the most logical theory and explanation.
