Guarantee: We'll beat the Lakers & Cavs.

We were SO hot tonight. Good point.

Andre would have won us the game if he was playing meaningful time in the 4th. That was inexcusable.

Ummmm with Andre on the bench, we opened the 4th quarter with a fucking 25-9 run. Which game were you watching?

To be fair, Roy and Howard's shots weren't open. And Webster was fouled on his.

They were all very, very makable. But, yes, I though Martell was fouled, as well.

I think the big turning point was Roy's turnover and foul on Mayo. Oh, and Zach's tip-in on that missed free throw.

Well, yeah, that's when it became undone. But we still had a shot with Bayless at the line and he choked. Sucks. Cuz he was perhaps having the best all around game of his career up to that point.

To me, choking is throwing up clankers. His was in and somehow bobbled back out.

With Blake back, LA healthier, Roy rested, the emergence of Webster, and the solid play of everyone else, it could happen. It ain't likely but we take care of the ball, defend, hustle, and execute in the halfcourt, we have a chance.

To me, choking is when you fail under pressure with the game on the line.

It's a team sport. I never put it on one guy in these situations.

But, whatever.

Laker game is very winable. I can't see the cavs losing at all though. But I have been known to be wrong... from time to time...

What about when Nick Anderson bricked 4 straight free throws against the Rockets in 1995? What about when Steve Blake bricked a bunch of free throws against the Clippers? What about when Chris Webber called timeout? Sometimes, it is on one person.

Now you're talking multiples. That's a tad different. Tonight, we're talking one missed free throw. One.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Blazers do pretty well against both the Lakers and the Cavs. But to GUARANTEE that they will beat both of them is naive at best. The Lakers are the best team in the League, and the Cavs are arguably the hottest team right now. You're talking about beating the two teams led by the best two players (by far) in the League. No-one can guarantee victory against them. Don't get me wrong, the Blazers might well win, but to guarantee it to me seems ludicrous, naive and ignorant.

You must be meeting some posters for the first time!

Well, Mr. Guarantee, what do we get if you are wrong? Maybe you could just disappear til next season?

Go Blazers

speed is about to own half the forum.... i have a feeling we beat the cavs. momentum is big in sports. this is assuming roy is ok to play.

Pain can sometimes clear the mind. Roy was en fuego last night, but I don't know if he can do an encore. Me, I just want to see Pendergraph lay some wood on LeBron if he gets too frisky. That'll be as good as a win to me. :D

I cannot believe that I agree with mixum and kingspeed.

this season ive learned to expect wins vs good teams and losses to bottom feeders.

sunday fits the profile. its kinda ironic though... lakers cant win in portland... cavs cant lose. they have owned us since 2004. infact have we beat them since?

it seams like we are always in the game and lebron crushes our hopes and dreams at the end.

take that back,,, we beat the cavs in 07 behind zach.

more i think about it... why did we ever get rid of zach?
