From my mod/admin days, I remember a lot of those being spiders, which are search engine computer programs that go to message boards, recording data and links from the board's pages.

I think they show up as "spiders" if you click on the "Who's Online" link, but if you just see the bar on top of the Blazers forum, a lot of those "guests" might really be "spiders."

With that said, the rest of the "guests" comes from the posters who (like I've noticed you do Zags) go invisible, the posters who just log-in when they have something to say, and then the rest are probably accounted for by random people clicking on search engine links... ie: say you google "Kelly Olynyk," and one of the results happens to be your lovefest thread for the guy... you're accounted for as a "guest" until you get creeped out by the homosexual overtones and hit the back button.
