Had a great afternoon in the Garden District today

New Orleans gets a bad rap sometimes, but spending time in this historic area reminds you of how much culture and history this place has. If you've never been here, you should try to plan a trip. The St. Charles St. trolley....... seeing the homes form the 1800s....

Nice doghouses! Where are the homes for the slaves?

The laste time I was there. the St. Charles trolley (IIRC, the streetcar named desire) wasn't yet running up that far as it was still under construction from Katrina. But, yeah, the garden district is the NE Portland of N'Arlins.
