These few posters, make the VOLUNTEER mods do more work than is necessary. Sometimes it feels like these few posters get off on making the mods work.

Stop coming to the forum, like I did.
(rejoined 8 months later when my school relaxed a bit. I returned to a pm of @SlyPokerDog apologizing for what happened and telling me action was taken. Whatever that meant. He then asked what my school was, I told him and he told me I'd make a good mod. We laughed.)
Or continue to allow these posters to bait you.
At the end of the day no one can make that decision for you, but you.
(hopefully you're not like another poster who I mentioned this to and choose to continue to let it bother you)

Technically when I call x post moronic. It's not an insult because I'm attacking the post.
Even though it was made by a poster and that itself means I'm calling the poster, of said post a moron.

Buttercakes is an old expression. We use to use it to sort of pseudo denigrate our buddies. No harm was ever intended none was ever taken.

We had one trick or treater who must have been about 14. The other five, yep, only six total, ranged in age from about 4 to about 11.

When I was a kid, my neighborhood in Oswego pulled out all the stops and I would get 2 1/2 full sized grocery sacks full of full sized candy. I figure I'll be the rest of my life trying to pay back. I don't even mind the older kids. Well, maybe a little.

That's where I came in.

Is "buttercakes" a personal insult? Honestly, I looked at that said no. Platy looked at it and said no. But you insisted that it was insulting you to so I edited his post. I honestly looked it up in the Urban Dictionary to see maybe I'm missing something and even posted that link. I did see one thing that was pretty damn offensive but even you didn't go in that direction. You read one of the definitions and tried to make the argument that Cup was calling you a woman, I read a different definition and was glad you didn't assume Cup wanted to jack a load in your face. But again, how Cup used "buttercakes" didn't really fit either of our worst case scenario definitions from the Urban Dictionary.

But also remember, I have already edited his post. It is no longer about you and instead, using the urban dictionary, means that Cup now wants to jack a load in my face.

While that is going on you're making accusations about platy and myself claiming that we're not doing anything to Cup because we have a bias, and this was a first in the Wheel of Bias, against newer members. You totally get originality points for that one. Which I politely explained that is not the case.

Now during that Cup is stirring the pot, which we all acknowledge that he does so I end up editing a 2nd one of his posts and deleting another.

So let's review:

1 of your posts edited.

2 of Cup's posts edited, 1 deleted.

So you're still claiming that we're favoring Cup over you and have via PM asked to have your account deleted.

I told you there is no way to do that.

I will tell you here again publicly, there is no way to delete an account.

In the years I have moderated this forum I have had many people get upset and ask to have their account deleted. The vast majority of the time they cool off and are using it again in a few days.

When we ban someone their account and posts aren't deleted. You can still read their posts.

The only thing that I can do is search for everyone of your posts and delete them each individually. I'm sorry, I did that one time for a Blazer employee when we became the official forum of the Blazers as a courtesy and that took days. I love you OB but I am not going to go into 1000s of threads and delete 12,500+ of your posts.

If you don't want to post here then that truly makes me sad. I know you're a huge Blazer fan. I know you've had some great times, made some friends, and won at least one really nice prize.

Now I just got home and the first thing I did is sit down and address your posts.

Please don't leave and if you do I hope to run into soon so I can buy you a beer or two.

I used a pillow case when I was a kid. I would trick or treat till I Filled it up. It was especially fun on Halloweens that the Blazers played. I remember coming home and eating the spoils while I watched the game.

I agree with him, why does he talk to me. Every interaction I've had on this forum with Lanny has been less than pleasant. I'm only giving what I've got.

But this question of why someone is here is a good one. I give you credit. Lets expand shall we.
If you're going to roleplay on a forum, why not go to an actual roleplay forum?
Surely you'd then get people to engage with you far more often.
Which is a far better alternative than to have your posts laughed at 99% of the time.

Oh, and the posters I listed are far from 'half the board'. But it's just like you to exaggerate.

As for buttercakegate, it's clearly used in a mocking way.

Again calling someone a troll should be completely fine if being a troll is completely fine.

We had 63 kids. Some came in caravans I swear! Well, maybe buses or large vans!
 
No one trick or treats around here, all the houses that typically have lights on at night were pitch black last night.

I saw that @PtldPlatypus seemed to be doing a great job of editing out the insults but when you guys started arguing about a block by block basis where there are homeless and where there aren't my eyes glazed over and I dipped the fuck out.



But I deleted and edited when he said you were a whiner. I also edited the buttercakes thing. That should be enough to tell you that it's not okay.

I'm still not sure about the buttercakes thing. Still not sure if that was really a personal insult. I like butter and cake so I will talk with others on staff to see if we should include all bakery ingredients and items in the personal insult rule.



The whiner was deleted. Ruining the forum wasn't exactly what was said but whatever, it was said in private to you by someone by your own words you don't think highly off at all. You're the only one validating that by bringing it up.

Yeah, I didn't think you would get it. Probably on me for poorly explaining it . I was on my phone and didn't proofread. Its not about deleting. I actually don't care for that. Its about calling out in public problem children that initiate the back and forth by intentionally poking and jabbing. Again, I don't just mean by mods, I mean by anyone witnessing it.

Anyhow, everything I have done has been in retaliation. The one who started everything, is a "hero" of sorts around here and his behavior is encouraged by many in the forum. The bulk of the forum is biased based on the long history they have with him, But I care not about history.

For example, I'm only back now because Cup and I have been talking ( very positively in private) Something you suggested to me to do with HCP long ago and I did, and that guy turned and through it in my face and made it sound like I stalked him. Then made it sound like I tried to get him fired.
These things were never refuted and when it comes to things like that, I take them serious.

Im not saying you or anyone had to, but SOMEONE... ANYONE, other than me, stepping up and telling him he is wrong, would have been nice. That's why I believe many here are biased. In the private message, No one refuted his words of me ruining the forum, so after some thought, yeah, I went back at him and made my points, because no one else stepped up and said, "wait a minute HCP, this isnt true. He does some good things here too". That lack of speaking up leads me to believe everyone in that message agreed with him. Let me put it another way. If someone on here said you were a shitty mod and were ruining the forum, I would ABSOLUTELY speak up in your defense. It would be the right thing to do in my opinion.

No need to beat a dead horse. I don't plan on changing anyone's opinion, nor do I desire to. But if people are going to speak up about rights and wrongs, then they should do it publicly to the guy who tries, or used to try, to stir more shit up than anyone.

The end result is the feud has been going on for years, but whenever anyone outside of the feud gets involved, its to go at me, not at him, yet he instigates 99%.. or used to.

And you know what? All he had to do was what Cup is doing now and i'm sure it would have all worked out. But after he tried to publicly slander me? Yeah ,I have no respect for that bullshit and frankly was put off by not one person stepping up in my defense.

This place isn't the place for me. I have a big mouth and don't keep it shut when I see crap going on. I think i'm turning a lightbulb on for the crapper, but in reality i'm just piling onto the crap.

Then you combine that with many people thinking i'm a whiner or whatever because of it, shows me how much people encourage the crap. But demean me for the same crap. This isnt just mods or mods, its just this site in general.

Many posters encourage HCP's older behavior( he has been better) to thew chagrin of his victims and then shit on the victims when they fling shit back.

Its really a playground that was created by this role play tough guy shit. IM an old man. I graduated many many years ago. If I wanted to play the bully playground shit, Id go back to school. And in that by him, I ruin the forum.

Now you can break this down all you want, but the facts are I had a great time here and had zero issues with anyone for the first 6 months. Then bam someone out of the blue shows up, tossing his weight around here and I had no clue who he was. He never once reached out to say hey man, i'm only joking.

People need to take responsibility for their own actions or lack of. This is what has also killed the forum for me.

Nobody is perfect, but there are a few who act like their shit don't stink, when it clearly does stink just like everyone else's. This continual attitude of i'm better than you, has worn me thinner than I care for. As long as that behavior is accepted and encouraged, this is not a place for me.

I mean a fucking video editor for a sports team. Yeah that constitutes the right to treat people like peons when you don't even know them and your first words to them are demeaning and degrading. Kidding or not, you don't kid like that to strangers. So he manifested this crap and no one called him out on it in public. Ever. They just got on me for whining. The ONLY time I have seen HCP get called out is a forced thing after someone else gets upset or whatever, but never have I seen HCP make one of his degrading statements at someone and have a mod call him out prior to someone else calling him out first and frankly, I don't recall ANYONE calling him out.
I did what you suggested and tried to make peace and he tossed it in my face. Not cool to me, but many here think it IS cool and think I'm a whiner for defending myself.
