Is it owned by Latinos? If not...
Stop! I’m with you on supporting minority owned businesses, especially here in the old neighborhood...... but as long as it’s not some big chain I all for giving small businesses a chance. Great example is our good friends who own Por Que No. They set up shop on Mississippi before the gentrification set in and they have thrived. Proud of them, good hard working people from our neighborhood, just happened to be crackas. This new place by me is owned by some hipsters, but that won’t stop me from getting a bomb taco.

It has very little to do with Gentrification (even though I don't spend a dime on Alberta) I just don't eat tacos unless the real Latinos are making them. I don't eat Taco Del mar...

They were founded in 2004 and that was not before gentrification "set in". I won't step foot in that place. But that's besides the point.

See here's the thing, My ex Fiancee's last name is Perezchica. Very Mexican. Her mother and father both born here from parents from Michoacán...

I have had REAL Mexican food so... If there aren't real Latinx making the food... I'm good...

That's it. Them and Jack's Alberta Street Market. They've been there for decades.

Other than that, keep your gentrification spots. I won't put a noose around my own neck...
