Sounds exactly like what Hillary Clinton supporters were saying in 2016.

Except the front runners are basically the same platform as Hillary with added socialism.

LMFAO OMG!!! Stop... please! I can only take so many LULZ a day!
I read that and wondered how it would have seemed to me reading someone say Jeffrey Dahmer was such a nice neighbor.

I literally laughed out loud. Adam "No way I know who the whistleblower is" Schiff is a legend.

Holy shit.

Also Hunter Biden invented a wasteless fusion reactor that can power Earth from the moon via Bluetooth..true story

I actually watched it all.

I heard about a dozen denunciations of socialism, two attacks on women's rights, as well as gay parents, and immigrants. None of which were relevant to motions under consideration.

It was repeated ad infinitum that Trump was elected, so should not be impeached. This kept being said as self-evident when it makes no sense. By definition, no one can be impeached without having been previously elected, so by that logic no one should ever be impeached. Actually, though, it's just no Republican should be impeached.

Also that some people wanted to impeach him for a long time. In 1992 Clinton was elected president. Before he was inaugurated I saw impeach Clinton bumper stickers and heard right wing media say so. Some said to impeach Hillary Clinton even though you can't impeach a first lady. So should Clinton not have been impeached because some people wanted it before they'd heard of Lewinsky?

This hearing was compared to Salem witch trials, Pearl Harbor, and the crucifixion of Jesus. Not sure if that applies to all impeachment or just Republicans. Well, actually, I know the answer.

Republicans appear to be 95 percent white and male.

After Tea Party and Trump, there are practically no moderate Republicans left. Swing districts that once had moderate Republican reps now have centrist/moderate Democrats.

WTF is Tulsi Gabbard up to?

Last summer when I had a debate watch party I baked peach cake from my tree and called it (im)peach cake. One slice was left, that I wrapped and put in freezer. I took it out today.
Republicans are bad because mostly white and male?

Bad doesn't mean much, let's say, not representative of the country.
Oh. I get it.

So, seeing as the only people who voted for Trump are white males it is understandable that the Republicans would back Trump.

Well, sucks to waste your time impeaching someone knowing the white guys are gonna laugh at you while they vote not guilty.

I wish this actually meant he wouldn't be in office anymore, but it doesn't.
Democrats made sure he'd win the 2016 general by gifting the primary to the most un-electable candidate in my life time.
Doesn't look like they learned from their mistakes either.
Well history does repeat itself, unless learned from.

What have you as a democrat learned these past 4 years?
Other than new things about Trump that prove he's a vile human being.
Knew that before the election though....

If the Hillary was the most un-electable candidate in your life time, and whoever the Democrats are going to nominate for 2020 is also going to be the most un-electable candidate in your life time - maybe you just don't like Democrats.

For being un-electable, Hillary sure got a lot of votes.

So... I dont get why people are so excited about this. Right or wrong, he’s not getting taken out of office. He may still get re-elected, I dont like Trump but it seems like this whole thing is nothing but politicz.

taints his legacy. It’s pathetic. It’s embarrassing for him.

He'll spin it as proof he was the victim of a deep state witch hunt. I'm not sure why anyone actually thinks this bothers him. He's a con man extraordinaire, he'll turn this into a sympathetic wave of support by tomorrow mid-day.

SUCH ATROCIOUS LIES BY THE RADICAL LEFT, DO NOTHING DEMOCRATS. THIS IS AN ASSAULT ON AMERICA, AND AN ASSAULT ON THE REPUBLICAN PARTY!!!!

Yeah, he seems calm.

Um, so the whole "spin it as proof of the deep state witch hunt"...

Yes, agreed on that, and that has been his line all along. Not sure that it is working in the non-cult population, though. We will see.

Not going to speak for anyone else, but for me it means that they are probably out of touch with the rest of America. It's hard to know and understand what differing groups of REAL Americans are experiencing if you don't interact with them. Just my 2 cents.

Do nothing Democrats? They have done more...a good deal more than the Republicans.....it's really the Do nothing Republicans

it doesn't really need to work on more than a few thousand though.

And sadly it's working on the sheep pretty well.

I had it on all day but didn't catch every word. What did they say about gay parenting? Also- for all their talk of Trump having been elected, what about all the Democrats in the House?? The majority. They were all elected. But they never said a thing about that. That I heard.

Most un-electable candidate in your lifetime? How old are you? Seven? At least Hillary won the popular vote. How was Walter "I'm going to raise taxes" Mondale more electable than Hillary? What about John Kerry and John McCain (because of Sarah Palin)? What about Dukakis? Hillary was the most experienced candidate of my lifetime and I'm 45. She was certainly more electable than most. She got 65 million votes. She lost the electoral college because of 60,000 votes in Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and Michigan. She very nearly won.

More likely scenario, They impeach Trump Dems feel proud of themselves for doing their job. Reps say the whole thing was a sham.
It doesnt go through in the senate. Reps feel proud of themselves for “fighting” against the corrupt dems. Dems say the whole thing is a sham.
Then all we do is end up where we started with Trump as president a lot of people mad about it, a lot of people happy about it and 0 progress has happened.
The only difference is that the Democrats in the House will have a clear conscience that they did the right thing regardless of outcome.
I fear that the impeachment will actually hurt the Democrats at the ballot box. But I have two thoughts on why this might actually not be bad:
1. I feel that the Democrats did the right thing regardless of what happens at the ballot box;
2. The public support for Trump will not substantially change and he will still get voted out in November.

You left out the most unelectable of our lifetime, George McGovern. Good man, but got wiped out in the General Election by a record margin.
