Man.... I was thinking we might get him on a cheap deal this summer, but if he keeps playing like this......

We might end up paying Crabbe and Harkless quite a bit.

And I would have no problem with that. Leonard may indeed be the one left out.

If someone actually called and offered something decent for him before the deadline...........
Yeah. I am with you on that. I imagine teams were scared of his upcoming free agent status. At least I hope that is the case.

Supposedly Olshey was receiving calls. He said our guys are highly valued. I'm not sure what was offered, but I would have liked to have seen him dealt.

I think we should commit ~20m per year on the both of them combined. It would be fair given the cap bump and production lately.

Other teams will wonder, did he finally play well at the end of his contract because it was at the end of his contract?

I will admit that I go back and forth on Meyers. But I would have liked to see him traded too. Neil said he received lots of calls but never mentioned who people were interested in by name. And it's not like he's going to say, "we got lots of calls about all of our players aside from Leonard".

Harkless is showing a lot but I doubt other teams will notice unless he truly blows up. I bet we sign him to 3 year 21 Mil contact.

I'd match about anything for Crabbe. Now if a team maxes him out I'd really have to think about it first; but north of $10 million I'd still match.

Harkless I'm not as sure. I definitely want to keep him but if teams start offering $10 million I would consider letting him walk. He has stretches of great play but listening to him in interviews can be a bit concerning. He blames his poor play on the coach not giving him minutes. Maybe minutes would help but he still needs to take the high road. Don't know what he's like behind closed doors but it could be an indicator of him having a poor attitude down the road if he isn't happy with his role. I have no concerns with Crabbe in that regard, he's got a great attitude.

I'll be surprised if Harkless gets crazy offers. Teams paying $10 million are looking for stars or to complete their lineup with a 5th starter. Teams saw he was dumped for nothing months ago. I think other teams will be very weary and we can sign him for a good value deal.

Now Meyers I'm not sure I'd match at his cap hold ($7 million)

As long as we don't renounce him, I think we can still sign Meyers and trade him after.

When was the last time a RFA that got a 10 mil + deal, walked off his rookie contract? The system is designed just so that doesn't happen.

Think same is true with Harkless and Crabbe. We should be good with retaining all our guys (or at least get value for them).

I'd have a problem with matching a massive contract for Crabbe. He's a nice role player off the bench, but he's basically a spot up shooter with a nice step in. He doesn't really have ball handling skills.

I think other teams would rather have Henderson this off-season and I will let them have him rather then have them try to drive up Mo's price.

I'd sign Harkless before Crabbe, because I think it's easier to find spot up shooters than guys like Harkless.

I think we can sign both and be happy still... I doubt it comes down to one over the other this summer.

Neither does Klay, and many other premier players. That's not really a reason to not pay him.

Crabbe is an average defender, and Danny Green was overpaid.

Id match any offer for Meyers. If some other team really wants him they can pony up a pick or a player thank you.

You think Crabbe is a premier player? If he were as good as Klay Thompson he'd be starting.

When did I say he was a premier player? I don't know what he is, he's not done developing. I'm saying you don't not pay a guy because he's not a ballhandler.

Why the hell would you hope I'm wrong? You wouldn't want another team trading for him? Huh?
We can only work a trade before a team puts a offer on him. Once they try to sign him we can only match or decline. We can't trade him at that point.

So it is rare and we are very unlikely to get something for him.

You can match and trade later. Maybe I'm wrong.
