Right but look at all the shit Weinstein has gotten because more people have come out. Domino effect. All it takes is one person saying something. However I can see why people would also stay silent in fear of their careers or not being believed because this guy has a lot of power in the industry. What’s gross to me are the celebrities that wanna promote this feminism ideology yet know of this shit going on in their own industry yet they pander to others on this feminism shit. The hypocrisy of celebrities in general.
 
And people keep throwing around that Ben affleck clip of him and that girl, I see nothing wrong with it because she’s loving the attention from him. In general I think affleck is another idiot though. Also, I am wondering what percentage of these girls claims are actually true honestly. Not saying he’s not guilty but in situations like these everybody starts to become a victim and it gets weird. Hollywood is a fuckin problem though in all cases of abuse

Social media helps. 50 years ago they'd just sweep it under the rug. Hell, 20 years ago.

My selfish part in this is I'm glad Kate Beckinsale told him to pound sand. I love her.

She enabled his behavior by taking the money. Her careers been done after she went crazy and cut her hair anyway.

Now that there are zero repercussions, she's basking in the victimhood. I mean I probably would have took the money too, but that money was to buy her silence. It was a transaction and she needs to know her role.

Yup. These bitches talk about being strong women, girl power, pussy hats and all that garbage but now they are shown to be scared hypocrites.

Real courage would have been going on the record when there were no other accusations.

I get that but I also think it is a bit different than a slip and fall in a grocery store. There are other grocery stores you can go to.

Not many other Hollywood careers she could get.

It isn't her fault if she got assaulted but she did sign the deal.... I'm just not going to call her a pos because of it.

I will be the first to admit that clearly delineated moral choices can still be painfully complex where friendship is involved. One of the best friends I will ever have and a man I love dearly, former President Bill Clinton, has certainly taxed my feminist conscience, but always without diminishing my affection. I even helped write his apology to the nation for his own sexual misconduct, was sitting next to him when he delivered it, and believe to this day it was based on something that was none of our business. And yes, some may call it hypocritical, but I confess to having had no problem warning at least three top-level Democratic operatives against allowing Harvey Weinstein to host political fundraisers. A warning that evidently (and to the glee of Fox News) fell on deaf ears.
 
I cannot fathom how people can mistreat women like Hollywood has for decades. Women are awesome and fully capable in all aspects of life, and deserve to be honored and treated like they are awesome and fully capable.

Tomasson's article talks about how women in Hollywood are discarded when they age, which is true.

She talks about women being cast as prostitutes, but I don't have an issue with that.

She talks about the depiction of rape, but the last depiction of rape of a man was Deliverance, 40 years ago. I think she's wrong, that there are depictions of rape of men, although maybe not as graphic. I also think it's hopefully eye opening to see the brutality of what rape does to a woman and hopefully men will see it and not want to cause such harm.

Roy Price, head of Amazon Studios, resigned after claims of sexual harassment. Good riddance. Replace him with a capable woman. For a change.

Price reportedly asked "will they show their titties" about the actresses in at least one show Amazon was considering. While crude on the surface, titties sells. I'm pretty sure most heterosexual men appreciate them. There has to be a line where what's good for business can be tolerated but actual harassment punished to the fullest extent possible.

Price is guilty of much more egregious sexual harassment incidents.

These two guys are just the tip of the iceberg.

The women coming forward with their stories are to be respected. But they need to name names so we can drain the swamp.
