Telfair, Monia, Victor, and Ha. What a great draft!
Four guys no longer in the NBA. What? Telfair's still around? How come I haven't heard anything about him in three years?

Hahaha... I heard Ha was nice too!Hey hey hey.... leave Viktor out of it. I loved that guy. Super nice![]()
Most teams make several moves every year and every team is continually taking risks. I'm sort of hopeful that the Blazers take a risk staying with Bayless, Rudy, Roy, Batum, Aldridge, and Oden. The jump from just making the playoffs to having success in the playoffs is much harder then the jump from non-playoff team to playoff team. So your comparison is not really correct.
Neither Denver nor Houston were able to make that leap without making moves and taking risks. Portland is no different. They are going to have to take a risk to get to the next level. Otherwise, we can all enjoy first round exists in the playoffs for years to come.
Maybe that is cool with you. For me, I would like to attend the finals game where Portland wins it all. Anything other then that is kind of a disappointment for me.
Everyone's favorite quartet

He was severely handcuffed in terms of making trades, I don't blame him a bit - he was order to reduce salary spending. OTOH, he made a poor draft pick in Telfair, and compounded his mistake by not realizing he had, in fact, made a mistake. Thus, he did not take a PG when a choice of the two best PGs in the game today were readily available to him.
A jump from finishing 10th in the West to tied for 2nd in one year isn't major improvement? How is that "just making the playoffs"? We made the jump from a non playoff team to a team who only finished behind the Lakers in the standings and having home-court advantage.
Where you one of those people last summer or at the trade deadline saying we wouldn't make the playoffs without making a major move? If not, then my comment wasn't directed towards you anyway.
Theo made the 2nd All D team in 2003-4.Yes, looking back at the Nash era, the only good thing you can say, was he botched so many things, that we sucked just enough for KP to be in the position to bring in some good talent.
But remember, Theo was just having the time of his ass before being resigned. He averaged 4.5 blocks a game during a 32 game stint with Portland after being traded....I think he won defensive player of the year. But still, that was a bit excessive for a 7pt 7 rebound center.
