I just voted for Miller because of that interview he did with Canzano. Dre ripped the Bald One a few times. Great stuff!
I avoid listening to Cantzano -- Doctor's orders, you know -- but DAMN I'm sorry I missed that!

Derek, Damon, and Rudy never played at this high of a level.

That doesn't matter. At one point those three players were extremely popular with the fan base. Rudy was hugely popular before he even logged a minute with the team.

I voted Aldridge but I've always been a fan of Wallace. Wanted that guy years ago, knowing his energy and toughness is exactly what we needed. Still will vote Aldridge because he reminds me so much of a level headed Sheed; which is my all time favorite Blazer.

So is Wallace the Blazers' version of Prom King?

I love it, Camby has as many votes as Chris and Armon FUCKING Johnson!!!!

Not much love for Brandon? How quickly we forget.

Go Blazers

Wow, people were saying the same thing about Camby last year and he's got no votes in this poll.

Wallace is fun and popular and all . . . but Daunte just got 21 points tonight. Forget crash and flash, I'll take consistent dependable role playing Daunte anytime come playoff time. Then throw in a Joel contribution AND a draft pick next year. WTF?

Keep your popularity . . . I want Daunte back.

I selected Roy, but might have picked Oden if there was that option.

Are you serious?

It's either Miller or Camby. No one voted for Camby, so that's my vote.

Wallace is popular because men wish for a return to long hair. Cunningham's started the last 7 games for Stephen Jackson but they've won only once.

How dope would it be for Gerald to let out the braids for Game 1 of the playoffs! Rock his hair like his older uncle Ben!

His hair is probably ridiculous without the braids cause he's braided it for so long, that would be crazy!

Then I could let out my braids too !!

Then guys with crewcuts could let out all that hair under their pores!

I was impressed when the crowd started chanting Wallace's name the other night. I can't remember a Portland crowd doing that before--it reminded me of the sing-song chants that fans do at the Knicks and Rangers games:

GER-ALD WA-LLACE!
GER-ALD WA-LLACE!

Then Terry Porter completely ignored the whole thing when interviewing Wallace after the game, which I couldn't believe.

You mean, aside from the Mar-Cus Cam-Bee singsong last year?

In 23 games with Portland, he averaged 7.0 points, 11.1 rebounds and 2.04 blocks – statistics that everyone on the Blazers would say don't do justice to his value.

The proof is in the Blazers' record, they went 17-6 (.739 winning percentage) in games Camby played.

It became so obvious that he had become the Blazers' season-changing force that near the end of a sterling 30-point, 13-rebound performance against Oklahoma City in the season's penultimate game, Camby was the subject of one of the Rose Garden's most unique moments.

"MAR-CUS CAM-BEE!"

Clap-clap-clap.

"MAR-CUS CAM-BEE!"

Clap-clap-clap.

A sellout crowd, 20,000 plus serenaded the veteran by chanting his name over and over. In the 15 years of the Rose Garden, no Blazers player has ever been graced with that level of adulation.

"I got goosebumps," said Bill Bayno, a Blazers assistant who recruited Camby to the University of Massachusetts.

Someone with youtube access should post the video.

It wasn't because Camby played his balls off in a big game, it's because those 20,000 people were all fair weather fans. Obviously.

^Green font?

So dark of green it almost looks black.

But yes, sarcastic, making fun of an earlier post in this thread saying the fans are fair weathered for doing it.

Ask and ye shall receive. Went with the radio call version instead. Short and sweet

We tried a Lamarcus Aldridge chant during the San Antonio game where he scored 42. It didn't going perfectly, but we tried.

Camby has one vote in this thread. I think that says a lot about the fickleness of the Blazer fanbase.

You can show your appreciation for a player in a standout game without ever considering him your favourite player. I don't think there's any contradiction implying fickleness between that Camby chant and him not getting a lot of votes in this poll.
