It was an assassination attempt. The shooters affiliations and motives though are not yet known.

If you read on Twitter (I know, I know) you'll see people jumping to conclusions left aft and right. (Not political left and right, just a lot)
 
Whatever you think about him or Biden, the fact that this actually happened in 2024 does not bode well for the secret service.

Also, just how lucky Trump is. One would hope this would be his come to Jesus moment, but I doubt it would be.

I don't know about you, but if I was almost assassinated, I'd probably want nothing to do with whatever almost got me offed.

My hope is he bows out.

The photo op of it all makes me believe it was staged as controversial as people might think that is.

He could do more damage (or "good" if you're a supporter) as a personality than he could as president. Minus the tax cuts for the rich you *know* he's going to do.
