Keep in mind that signing Pendergraph and Cunningham now eats up cap space. Right now, Portland has 1.1 in cap money. It's not a lot, but it's 1.1. The Blazers could easily be waiting to see if a deal falls in their lap where they need a little extra room. There is no hurry whatsoever in signing either of them. If and when they do use their remaining cap space then they can sign both of them because they will be minimum deals.

Are you sure that's true? My understanding was that since the Blazers are carrying empty roster spots, minimum salary roster holds for each empty spot is already on their cap. Signing Pendergraph and Cunningham to minimum deals or so would simply replace those roster holds.

I'm no CBA expert, but I think that's how it works.

That is correct. I believe we have one automatic cap hold since we signed Miller. If I remember correctly it's about $900,000.

MM is correct in there being no hurry to sign them though.
