<div class="quote_poster">fitch4delk00 Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">^ did you watch the game, if so then you know it was a low scoring game, and there was great defense. the coach can only do so much they cant go out there and rebound or score, you all blame Frank but he hasnt done a bad job. Frank doesnt have many players to go to Vince can only do so much and Kidd is more of a playmaker than a scorer, even though he has scored more lately. Whos our next scoring option Moore, if hes scoring then hes not rebounding because he doesnt have great low post moves. He has a nice little jumpshot and cuts well, The only thing I see frnak doing wrong is playing C-Rob so many minutes over Adams and Boone.</div>
I saw the game. I saw how many broken up plays there was in which Jason Kidd had to pull something out to get a score. I saw a 18-28 team, 9-15 on the road get whatever they wanted from us. I saw them get the come from behind victory. Do I blame the players? Yeah they share the responsibility, but I blame the coaching strategy. The coverage on Joe Johnson was ridiculous with the switches and no consistency till the end. I saw a lot of iso plays for Vince Carter. It's as if Frank said to him, "Hey Vince, I cannot make you a play right now so get the ball and do what you want."
You don't lose to the Hawks if you want to make the playoffs. More importantly, you don't lose to the Hawks at HOME. Any well-coached game against the Hawks is a solid victory. They're just a bad team. Well-coached losses come against the elite teams like the Spurs, Dallas, Suns, etc.
I'm a big fan of players lose games as well, but in this case I think it was more coaching than the players. That 3 from Vince to tie in overtime...that was a broken up play. Frank would be stupid to draw up a play for Vince to take a 45degree angle three.
Frank's rotations are just too weird. One night a bench player gets 20 minutes the next night he gets barely none. The players aren't robots they need a regular routine. It hurts a players mindset if they think they're coach doesn't trust them.
This is the third year in a row this team has been up and down since Frank became coach. We were rather consitent when Scott was here, so I think it's telling me something.
