milwaukee is gonna fire Bud and we'll have to compete with them for coaching candidates too
Until the playoffsI think MDA is better than a lateral move from Stotts. Someone on the Fan today said no D'Antoni team had ever been in the bottom 10 in defense. That is better than Stotts right off the bat. Then he coach 2 players to MVP seasons and was within a couple of flukes of 2 titles.
He's not my favorite, but IMO would be a BIG improvement over Stotts.
yuckwon’t matter because if they fire Bud he’ll be Portland’s coach within 48 hours.
It just FEELS like it's taking long. The reason may be that Sly slowed the board processing time. For example, I actually posted this a half-hour ago but it's appearing only now. Sly will increase this thread's length by making time appear to slow. More bucks for Denny.
You need to think bigger. Gheorghe Muresan is available.
barfo
I wonder what metric they are using for “never been in bottom 10 for defense”?I think MDA is better than a lateral move from Stotts. I am coming around to the idea of him coaching here. I am sure he would set up the offense that fit best for dame. Of course there is issues with defense, but if Neil ain’t planning on trading CJ then I don’t see us improving much thereI'm hoping we get D'Antoni at this point. He really does have such a solid coaching record: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mike_D'Antoni#Head_coaching_record
He's got a very solid .564 winning average despite spending 4 seasons with the Knicks and 2 seasons on a broken-down Kobe.
He made Jeremy Linn a household name.
He's run a superstar-driven, contending offense from the PG position repeatedly. And I think this is the biggest point. The way he had Steve Nash's offense play was really incredibly different from Harden's offense. He adapted the team's game play to maximize the star's talent.
When you have a superstar like Dame in the final few years of his prime, you don't fuck around with people unproven at the head coaching position. I'm sure Hammond and Billups and the rest are nice people and may even become excellent head coaches, but we need a guy who has coached at the highest level for elite talent NOW. Why guess at how well a coach can handle the pressure of a deep playoff run when we can just buy a coach who has already done it?
I can eventually get behind other guys, but MDA is easily my top choice.
This idea that Hammon can't be fired even if she is awful seems predicated on the conviction she will fail but team can't fire a woman because she might cry or something.
Bull.

I liked Bud coming from what he did in Atlanta, but watching that Game #5 loss to the Nets brought up a TON of questions and if I were a Bucks fan, I'd be pissed at his game plan.
- Where was the defensive help or double teams on Durant?
- Why did they not run play after play right at Harden who was obviously hampered (1-10) but still logged 46 minutes?
- After the first couple of makes, how do you not take away the '3' from Jeff Green who can not create that shot on his own?
Very poor in-game adjustments that are very remeniscint of Stotts.
I agree it’s bull but the fact that it’s being discussed makes it a very real issue.Yeah this sentence is definitely bull.
They are having a field day!I don't think I've ever seen a coach crucified in the media so badly and so immediately over the mismanagement of a game like Bud did in this one. And it's absolutely deservedly so.
BarryKolde wants Spo.
85-129 as coach of the Nets.John Calipari would be interesting.
OkBarry
Think about it, close ties to Seattle, assist gm for Spurs, could move upstairs eventually, I’m sure hes been talked about in circles for bringing sonics back and Koldie would be aware of that, seems to have a good rep around league.

That was a scintillating and enlightening comment.Yeah this sentence is definitely bull.

Paradox!!!this sentence is definitely bull.
