there's a big difference between "dirty" and "tough."If for no other reason, I would personally hire Laimbeer to tutor/mentor Nurk and teach him what it means to be tough. And not just be a paper tiger.

I love this shade towards Olshey and the Blazers
What shade? Olshey and Jaynes are cool together. Jaynes didn’t like Stotts for obvious reasonsI love this shade towards Olshey and the Blazers

And, if we are being honest here, the Spurs haven’t exactly lit the world on fire since Hammon has been lead assistant.
After being a model franchise for years, you have to really start to question them. They haven't been relevant in years, and LMA and Kawhi wanting out. I don't know if it's the coach, the assistant coaches, the GM, the owner, or what.Wouldn't that be a reflection on Pop's coaching abilities?
Did you read the next sentence? “Don’t really care if I know what her specific duties are.”Wouldn't that be a reflection on Pop's coaching abilities?
He certainly plays like a pussy around the rim. Don’t get me wrong, I love Nurk as much as the next guy but I want ‘Nurk Fever’ Nurk, not whatever he’s digressed into. If his head is right, he’s an asset. But if he’s gonna pout and play like he did in the playoffs this year, he’s of no use.imagine thinking Nurk is a pussy. Hes easily the most physical player on the team. Ask anyone that gets screened by him or has to box him out. He’s also one of the few guys on the team willing to talk shit and stand up for himself.
Hammon calls offensive and defensive sets for the Spurs. More offense than defenseDid you read the next sentence? “Don’t really care if I know what her specific duties are.”
Billups on a successful team.
MDA on a successful team.
Udoka on a successful team.
Ham on a successful team.
But once again, I don’t really care about team success as much as I care about I *know* what they are responsible for and they are succeeding at doing it based on stats.
Whatever the hell Hammon is responsible for may or may not be justifiable with stats.
Anyway, over this conversation. It’s clear no one knows what the fûck her duties are. Which makes me personally think she is getting a bit of favoritism.
I trust that whoever is making the decision has more info and insight into her specific duties and how that has led to improvement, statistically, in the Spurs organization.
I will be happy with any of the candidates chosen for this reason, even if I have candidates I prefer. I do not have access to all information.
Youve been saying this. Any reason for it?
I knew it! They're hiring Kenny Walker!
We currently don’t have any.To be honest, I am not sure of the specific job duties of the various Blazers assistant coaches.

That is according to someone who would know such things
Yes.Youve been saying this. Any reason for it?
We currently don’t have any.
And we don’t have any in the running for one of the top available jobs.
And when we did had AC’s worth hiring away.. did you not know what Vanterpool’s coaching responsibility was?
It's much dirtier than that. But you get the drift. His **** into a blonde in Colorado
Yes.
MM would not be excited about it.
D'Antoni isn't my number one choice but he's not as soft as Stotts and their offenses are incredibly different. D'Antoni has a ton of player movement while he has a PG probing on most set plays. He also pushes the fast break. His defenses are actually a product of his offense and they both aggressively go after turnovers and pound the glass to get outlet passes. Hell, D'Antoni's teams have been known to run the break off of made shots.its beyond me how can anyone think that mike dantoni would be a good choice
perhaps he would make some tweaks offensively, but philosophy would remain the same: "shoot as many threes as you can" and thats the opposite of what blazers need to do, another problem is the same thing terry stotts said: "were confident in what were doing", meaning when houston rockets couldnt hit a three to save their lives in game 7 against gsw (they had like 20+ consecutive missed threes), they just kept on chucking, no adjustments were made whatsoever
then comes the defense, which is literally the biggest problem of this team and i cannot trust mike dantoni or his assistant to fix our defense
on top of that, mike dantoni is the players coach, which is the same as terry stotts, so dont count on him holding players accountable, if anything, it will be worse than it was with terry stotts and in the best case scenario, it would be just as bad as it was under terry stotts... theres a lot of things that need to be changed and mike dantoni isnt the right coach for that task
There would be a seismic change that would be very obvious. Like I said, he's not my first choice but if they do hire him, I'll be really excited for the fact that Dame will get an MVP in the next two seasons and we'll be entering the playoffs with HCA. The fact that you're able to bitch about what the Rockets did in the seventh game of the WCF actually makes me pretty excited at the prospect of getting D'Antoni.
