Do you really KG that much, now? ;)

Ha. I was never a KG hater, but I read those threads. Sure, he talks, but he backs it up. Ariza, though, has done nothing of importance in the NBA.

Not really, we had some nice conversations with Blazer fans in the LA forum. Check it out if you want (or don't, fine either way). Peace.

There are nice Laker fans - unfortunately a lot of the ones up in Oregon are real assholes and sadly we all know that even a very loud and negative minority and create a wide-spread stereotype.

We punked the Lakers like no team has punked the Lakers all season. I loved it. I knew we had it when the game began with LMA hitting a three. Go Blazers!!!!!!!!!

Oh lol yeah, I don't hate the Blazers at all. At worst I'll just make some jokes but I mean well.

no need to gloat, i trust you will reread your other thread a few times and feel dumb enough :)

DR, the only Laker fan I like.

I hate fanbases as opposed to teams. I don't harbor any ill will towards the Yankees organization, but I hate their fans (the obnoxious ones) more than I hate Hitler.

Thanks, my day wasn't complete without some BALLS.

had the link to that picture just floating around in your bookmarks, or what?

Yep. We know DaWeenie would be here had the Lakers won the game. Instead, a post and run. Cowardly. Perhaps he did it in honor of Trevor Ariza.

My apologies for watching 24...what was I thinking

It's easier to make personal attacks than to give someone he disagrees with the benefit of the doubt.

24 is so ridiculously good.

And ridiculously ridiculous. Which makes it good. :)

You thought enough to post your own thread and then run away for over an hour.

Whatever, though. Toko has already escalated things.

Nope, just turned off safesearch, googled giant balls, and picked the one least likely to get someone fired for viewing at work :)

So do you guys actually think the Ariza play was dirty??? I really feel for Rudy, that honestly sucks and hope he is fine very soon but cmon..not even a flagrant let alone flagrant 2. Ariza was going for the ball and whacked Rudy in the back of the head swatting for it. Obvious foul, sucks how he landed, but not a flagrant

What were some of the 'more likely' to get you fired ones?

Shoot me a PM...

I believe that the rule is that its an automatic flagrant if you hit the guy in the head, even if you didn't mean to.

Oh brother. Now talking smack is making "personal attacks". Perhaps I labeled the wrong guy a "Weenie".

Ariza's actions after the play were the actions of a douche bag. On the SportsCenter view, he glances over to Rudy and then starts flapping his arms and screaming like a chump.

Well if thats true then yes its a flagrant...but i dont think thats true...

Its if you are making a play at the ball or not iirc

Roy was on him 2 seconds after he landed. What did you want him to do, get on his knees and cry for forgiveness?

Had Roy calmed the fuck down, I bet he would have checked up on rudy.

At what point will you change your signature to read "Owned by every Blazer Fan?"

I don't think it was a dirty play. It was just a bad set of circumstances involved - Ariza did get part ball but he also got part hand which is just a normal foul, but then things go from foul to very bad (not Ariza's fault though):

1. His hand slipped off Rudy's hand and the ball (because of sweat or momentum) and hit the back of Rudy's head (unintentionally) and also with the follow-through caught part of Rudy's other arm.

2. At that point (when Ariza caught the other arm) Rudy was already twisting in mid-air and that gave his body even more momentum so he twisted even worse.

3. Rudy's left arm was completely stretched behind him when he landed, and the landing was bad because Rudy is light and he had no protection for his side/rib-cage and he kinda bounced off the floor a bit.

4. The players and crowd reaction at that point and Rudy not getting up at all.

Because of those events he got a flagrant two for what wasn't a dirty play but probably a misguided one. I hope he doesn't get suspended because the ejection was punishment enough. It was just an unfortunate series of events after the initial contact.

Ariza looked over at Rudy and then turned away and started screaming. After your act in another thread about Rudy being "brittle", I'm not going to take a thing you say seriously.

Section IV(b).

If contact committed against a player, with or without the ball, is interpret-ed to be unnecessary and excessive, a flagrant foul--penalty (2) will be assessed. A personal foul is charged to the offender and a team foul is charged to the team.

It was pretty obviously a flagrant 2.

Excessive? Without a doubt. He sent Rudy tumbling through the air and landing all out of whack.

Intentional? I think so. He intended, he said, to make a "hard foul" on the ball. One does not make a hard foul without contact.

It doesn't mean that he meant to hurt Rudy, but an intention to harm is not considered when handing out flagrant fouls.

I'm pretty sure the only shit talking going on after the play was Ariza and Roy. There were a bunch of people between Ariza and Rudy right after the play.

Ariza was pretty thuggish with Roy...I read lips and saw a "bitch ass n----a" headed in Roy's direction
