Georgia Republican Senate candidate Herschel Walker falsely claimed that he was an FBI agent in a newly resurfaced video, another blunder for a campaign plagued by its candidate’s missteps.

In the 2019 clip, Walker can be seen telling an audience, “I worked for the law enforcement. Y’all didn’t know that either?”

“I spent time at Quantico at the FBI training school,” he said. “Y’all didn’t know I was an agent?”

Walker’s campaign told the Washington Post earlier this year that he had led “women’s self-defense training, participating in the FBI Academy at Quantico.” Such a role is not the same as being an FBI agent, as Walker claimed in the video. He proceeded to tell a story in which he said he considered killing a man before a “honk if you love Jesus” sign on a truck “calmed me down.”

Lots of stuff comes out on lots of people lots of times. I've been over Walker for awhile now. I do think Christian is pretty intriguing, though. Heh.

Yes, because he has no charisma in any way. Trump struck a nerve with people, and I could understand why because he just says what he thinks without a filter... And so often it is what the people who support him think, but they just are too afraid to say. With someone like Walker is mystifies me how anyone can support him because he not only doesn't have any charisma, but is black, a hypocrite, and clearly a moron. There's so many strikes against him that even the most ardent MAGA supports I would have thought would be turned off by some of this. The only reasonable explanation I can come up with is that most of it is simply not getting to them because Fox doesn't report on it, otherwise it defies my ability to understand it.

Anxiety is setting in among Republicans over Herschel Walker’s bid to oust Sen. Raphael Warnock (D) in Georgia after a series of unforced errors and negative headlines that have rocked the former football star’s general election campaign.

Walker, who was endorsed by former President Trump early on and went largely unchallenged in the GOP primary, has been beset for months by damaging revelations about his business record and personal life, including an admission that he fathered three children he had not previously disclosed publicly.

Walker’s troubles have been underscored by recent polls that show him trailing Warnock. One survey from Quinnipiac University released last month found the incumbent Democrat leading by a staggering 10-point margin, while a more recent poll conducted for the AARP put Warnock ahead by 3 points.

“He needs help. He needs to be much better prepared because when Labor Day rolls around, he’s going to have to be able to articulate and do it consistently and do it coherently,” said Chuck Clay, a former Georgia state senator and state GOP chair. “He’s got himself two or three months. He’s a smart guy. But he needs focus. He needs to get that part of the campaign down. A Heisman Trophy isn’t going to bring him a victory.”
