This forum existed long before the Blazers stepped in.

And the mantle of "official forum of the Portland Trail Blazers" HAS affected how this site is run. So if the site is going to change, we should at least be able to see the benefits that were given to us in the first year.

Site is no different to me since it's been tied to the Trail Blazers website. This forum is much better now than it was 14+ years ago when I joined. (I cant remember the name, was it basketballboards.net?)

It's different in how it's moderated.

IE no more swearing in the thread titles, and anything that drifts away from the PC narrative gets swiftly ushered to no-mans-land (aka the OT section.)

Doesn't matter. If we're going to sell some of our freedoms, we should at least get some free swag.
