You get Pat Con out of him he's a steal at 2 Million.Let's hope he isn't the new Stauskas or Connaughton

If he is does it really matter? Not everyone is going to get minutes and he can be a throw in on a trade like Stauskas was last year.
If I recall correctly a minimum salary can count as whatever a team wants it to count as for the trade to work.yeah...probably doesn't matter much. I can see the 'theoretical' Hezonja that Olshey is taking a flier on, and if Hezonja hit close to those marks he'd be a big help. I think the odds are against that happening though
speaking of trades and vet minimum deals, I have a couple of CBA questions. As I understand it, Tolliver and Gasol are both making around 2.56M this year; but their cap-charge is 1.62M. If either are traded, is the salary credit in the trade calculation the 2.51M or the 1.62M?

I think similarly, Hezonja will get opportunities, I see him being used (minutes wise) like Layman was last year.Think Hezonja is the 10th man right now.
In and out the rotation.
Tolliver plays more imo and I'd probably have Skal ahead of him too if Gasol isn't healthy.

Me I think he going to be use as point forward to relieve Simons as the main ball handler. I see him in Turner's role with this team.
Translation: "If we were going to use it like Layman why didn't we just keep Layman instead"
Can he be a better version of ET? He is a little bigger, a little longer, a little more athletic, and a better outside shooter.
yeah, statistically he's a better outside shooter if you're basing it on three's. Hezonja at .321 vs Turner at .296. However, if you're also considering 16-23 feet as outside shooting it gets closer as Turner has been better, .397 vs .382
I think they are the same...that being if they are shooting from the outside you're cringing as a Blazer fan. It's like Aminu leading a fast break. As a Blazer fan, enduring any of it is like chewing on tin-foil while shaving your head with a cheese grater

I don't think Hezonja will play much.
stats get really skewed for Hezonja since his early seasons he played for about half a dozen different coaches on a couple of tanking teams....Tolliver is what he is...a solid vet Mario was introduced to the NBA on some really dysfunctional teams. He's pretty much what we got when we picked up Mo from Orlando....a guy who needs some burn and a good lockerroomyeah, statistically he's a better outside shooter if you're basing it on three's. Simons is! He grew a lot this summer.
Mario ate one of those shrooms that makes him really big!
The key is Zach. I need him to become an Al Horford type on defense and a decent spacer on offense, and we're good. Hassan should be better than Kanter was on both ends. Rest of the guys are all icing.Whiteside, Collins, Ant, Mario, Skal:
We don't need all of them to "Pop", but if 2 of them do, we'll be pretty good. If 3 of them do, we'll be VERY good.
