Everyone on here thinks signing a big time free agent is the next step. No big time free agent will ever come to Portland. People around the league view Lillard as a 2nd tier star who plays no defense, and a chucker. The team that got to the WCSF is gone. Remember how the Blazers played last season when LMA was injured; this season will be worse. The only realistic thing is to tank hard. Tank with intentions to get top picks. Tank for multiple seasons. If the Blazers finish with the worst record they are guaranteed a top 4 pick.

If you're a true Blazer fan then you love this franchise for what it is and don't long for what it is not. Just like Timbers or Beavers or Ducks fans are proud of any success they have. We don't need threads like this that tell everything that's wrong. We have scumbuckets like John Canzano for that!

To me Lillard is a winner who does not deserve to be on this terrible team. The Blazers could get a godfather offer for him right now.

Lamarcus Aldridge is not walking through that door. Wesley Matthews is not walking through that door. Nicolas Batum is not walking through that door. Robin Lopez is not walking through that door.

Hi! Welcome to RipCityTwo!

So what exactly do you think we can get for the 24th best player in the NBA?

Do you think we could we could get more than the 6th pick in the draft that we used to select him?

And since PG would become an immediate concern do you think we could draft a better point guard than the one we were trading away?

I don't see Lillard getting us a 1st or 2nd pick in the draft.

Seems like a lot of risk just to, at best, end up with what we have now.

In five years, someone will bump this and say I told you so

Breaking news?

Again, it is great to have you here. Since you're new lets just stick with one thread for a while.

Barrack Obama is not walking through that door. George Lopez is not walking through that door. Maya Angelou is not walking through that door. Jeffrey Dalmer is not walking through that door.

I like this game.

Elvis might.

With the new cap, an uneven trade is almost impossible. Teams don't need to dump salary. The Blazers only chance is to have CJ turn into a superstar. It's so sad to see the team to the south as reigning NBA Champions with the NBA MVP while the Blazers are in the cellar. The Blazers had a higher seed in 2014, and advanced a round further in the playoffs. To me this is Olshey's failure. How do you let all of this free agent talent walk away, and get nothing in return?

Who did you want from the Knicks and Mavs? Those are the only teams we could have done a sign and trade with, And that's if the Blazers or either of those teams wanted to do one.

Get younger at the 4 with a player who wont walk away in 2021 free agency, and replace the human trashcan that is Asik with a legit stretch 5. Also their owner is old and senile.

Why would NO want to get younger?

If you're convinced that Davis would walk away from NO in 2021 what makes you so sure he wouldn't walk away from the Blazers?

If Davis were suddenly available don't you think NO could get a lot better offer than Meyers and Noah?

I wanted to trade them last off season or before the trade deadline.

So we have no hope yet you think Meyers and Vonleh is enough to get Anthony Davis.

I would have traded Nic, LMA, Wes, and RoLo for great value before the start of the season.

Why would you have wanted to trade Wes before his injury? I don't understand that...
