Naw, did tanking for Duncan , make the Spurs a laughingstock? The JailBlazer Era was a HUGE slap in the face to Blazers fans. I had guys in Denver who weren't big NBA fans who knew about that embarrassment.

That line of thinking doesn't even make sense. We picked an ex-player to sit in while ping-pong balls bounce around. Nobody outside Portland even cares. Do you care who Sacramento brings?

This place... What does tanking for Duncan have to do with some pouty, ex-Timberwolf? I said NOTHING about tanking or the Spurs or anything.

It is just absurd to bring BRoy back at all. He hasn't been a part of anything for Portland since his T-Wolves days. That's my point: it's dumb. How silly would it have been if it had been Clyde? Very silly, no? But much less silly than BRoy. At least Clyde is arguable the best player to ever wear a Blazer jersey (I'm a Dame guy, but I said 'arguably'). That's how silly this is.

Dame and BRoy have talked to each other multiple times in private so No this isn't BRoys first part of anything since the TWolves.

It's laughable some "fans" give BRoy a hard time for not being involved with the Blazers, but criticism him for now being involved with the Blazers.

What does two men allegedly speaking have anything to do with anything? This place has collectively lost it.

Furthermore, I’m an in quotations fan because I think BRoy was a super douche? Half the forum wants to trade the best player the franchise has (arguably) ever had, but I’m not sure they/you deserve a lower tier of fandom because of it.

Mediocre Man is upset after the Blazers cut Roy, a year later Roy was feeling better and signed for the full MLE with the TWolves. He only played a few games before needing to retire for good. But Paul Allens insurance stopped subsidizing some of Roy's old Blazers contract.

It never impacted the Blazers cap as the Blazers had amnesty relief for the remainder of Roy's deal from cutting him.

I loved the so-called “Jail Blazers” Era. Those teams were thrilling. Coming back from 0-3 vs Dallas to force Game 7!

Okay I am familiar with all that, what confused me was him saying BRoy hates the blazers and the city of Portland. I thought he had done something that had justified that kind of hatred, such as talking crap about the team or city.
