I'm not one to get too pumped after wins and too bummed after loses. So my question is what does this kind of up and down shit do to you freaks on here. You know who you are......... we win a couple, Nate is the coach of the year, Nic=Future hall of famer, BROY=MVP........ we lose a couple, fire Nate, trade Dre and Joel, why did we draft so and so. So for all the guys on here for the past 3 weeks who have been doom and gloom, what does this streak mean?

To me the streak means little. What i am pumped about is the way they are playing. The lack of a back up PG is still a concern though. (I am scared when Miller is out) But I love the way the roles are being defined. Miller is playing great ball. Roy is adapting, Wes is hustling, LA is getting some easy baskets, Camby is Camby, Joel is adding depth. We just need a little more from Batum and Rudy on the offense end, but it is always tough for bench players to be consistent. But I really love the D.

Losing 6 consecutive games, of which three were against NJ, PHI, and WAS is not concerning to you?

This win streak has been really fun, but it really does not seem sustainable. Outside of Wesley, there has been no semblance of consistency, and we're still relying on Roy too much (for his own good! 41mins on the second night of b2b-- Nate is fuckin crazy!). And ultimately, it all boils down to us fighting and clawing to get a #8 seed, which is possibly the worst spot for an NBA team to be.

I'm not one to really go high and low, but after 6 straight losses, come on when was the last time that happen? I did feel we would get it back together and I think we are figuring out how to play with each other better and Joel has help a lot even though he didn't play in this game. I also think Oden's injury was a mental blow as well as a few other things and these players are just human after all. I'm feeling a lot better now that my games are starting to sell again!

It is Dec 10th. Its a long season. Isn't it a bit early to be predicting what seed they are playing for. Injuries will happen to other teams too. And they could drop fast.

Thats the point. You never know. It's a long season. Some teams get better and some get worse. Injuries are a factor in that, but so are a lot of other things. Some said based on our early schedule that they would be happy to start out at 500. We have about 2-3 more losses than we should right now. But to answer your question I can see NO dropping (CP3 could easily get hurt again) and Denver dropping. (Melo will be traded)

But there is no doubt we need to continue to get better. And no Nate is not Fuckin crazy for playing Broy 41 minutes tonight. If he wants to rest him,sit him at Dallas or SA where the odds of losing are pretty good anyways. We needed this one more.

Yeah Roy had a great game and looked as good as he has in a while and appears to be adjusting, but yeah those big minutes on a back to back could come back to haunt us. Does Nate have some kind of mental block about limiting minutes?

A couple months ago, no one would have predicted the Blazers dropping. Even MIXUM grudgingly had the Blazers as a low playoff seed. The landscape could look quite different a month or two from now.

Serious? You Guys really wanted to sit his ass down in in a game he was shooting well. You think 5 extra minutes is going to be the difference? He will have plenty of games where he is not playing well. He can sit then. Or better yet let him take one of the practices off.

For me, this streak means that the crap alot of us have been saying about Nate (stop switching on pick and rolls, get the ball out of B Roys hands and into Andre's) should have been done years ago. Notice how much better we have looked in the past few games with these two simple changes? It is a shame that injuries or losing streaks seem to be the only way Nate changes.

What is the difference between 40 minutes of an NBA game and that of a practice? If Nate held Brandon out of practice for an hour, shouldnt that give him the right to up Brandon's minutes from 30 to 40?

Is this team capable of:

A) Getting to the playoffs?

B) Getting out of the first round?

If the answer is no to either of those questions, I really don't see the point of keeping guys like Joel, Miller, or Camby. I'd move some of our expirings to try to add some younger guys who fit our actual window, which is probably a couple years down the road. I personally am tired of being just good enough to get to the playoffs, but not good enough to get out of the first round. I love having vets like Miller and Camby, but if the team isn't good enough to advance, why not use them to get guys who will actually be able to help us in a couple years?

I think it's great that we're playing better, and Roy is looking more like the Roy we're used to, but it's all about getting out of the first round for me... and if that's not possible, I'd rather set us up to be successful in a couple years when Batum is a little more experienced and Oden is either healthy or a confirmed bust.
