Went on for about 10 minutes. Worst one ever....us flying into Newark. I could here LaMarcus screaming from way in the front of the plane.HA!

22 degrees on my deck...everything outside is an iceball. Glad I have a woodstove...got my Coleman stove out in case of power outages..electric company was out limbing up trees on my road all day which should prevent some line problems. Got lots of food...cabin's warm. Still have power so let it storm! Picked up a couple of nice led flashlights today and have 1800 gallons of rainwater outside off my catchment system so I can have water as needed. Gave the chickens an extra bale of rye straw to bed down in in the chicken hotel I built.

We got a nice sheet of ice around 4 so I sent everyone in the office home.

It's heading north. Stay safe out there. I imagine I-5 will be an icerink in the morning.

Canceled having my grandson spend the day out here tomorrow...good chance the power will be out and he's a toddler. My son said the roads were slick driving home from the office today so I got my shopping done and now plan to hunker down till Christmas day when I'll go to their house in Eugene. My wife just called me from Taiwan where her sister in law, cousin and her are in the mountains soaking in the hot springs and going out for lobster and seafood after at a mountain spa. She'll get home the day after Christmas and has had a great 5 weeks visit over there with her family. I'm planning to go in February if possible.
