My driveway is too slick with ice to drive on and it's a fairly long drive that's uphill heading out.

Where!!!!???? Troutdale? Seaside???? John Day?!?!?!!?!!?
Foothills of Western Lane County Coastal Range homeslice!...between Florence and Eugene....I think I've told you this about 20 times now but I have empathy for those who have trouble retaining these things. I'm in the woods...my property is from 600 to 800 ft in elevation. Above the snow line. I get snow when my son's house in Eugene doesn't often...he's just north of Autzen Stadium ..nice area of Eugene.

Down to 15° tonight, with winds gusting to 30 mph...coldest it's been here in about 25 years...it's 46 now at 7:00 AM but is expected to drop to 28 by 10:00 AM....yowza !

Needless to say, we don't handle cold weather down here very well.

My driveway is a skating rink....at least an inch and a half of solid ice..had to be really careful just getting to the woodshed and bringing in the wood this morning which is only about a 10 ft walk from my porch. Just got a roaring fire going and time to make some chorizo and eggs and watch the world through the windows.

So you on some kind of militant compound of some sort.

WHEEEEERRRRREEEEEEEE!!!!!!!?????

I didn’t even know Eugene HAD hills!
I'm not in Eugene...I'm in the coastal range...Eugene is in the valley but south Eugene is in the hills....I'm 40 minutes from the coast and 30 minutes drive from downtown Eugene. The entire west coast of Oregon is a mountain range for you city kids who only know downtown and the airport!

There was a chance of us spending Christmas in Denver….we just found out we are going to make it in since we won’t land til 1:30am.

My son was supposed to fly in tonight from LA and his flight along with 90% of Alaska flights into Portland have been cancelled. All flights form PDX>SEA are now cancelled.

Good thing we didn't plan to go to PDX/SEA for christmas and are going to Dallas instead (we are rotating holidays).

Just walked to the local plaid pantry. A dude said he was from Utah and this is worse than anything he’s experienced in Utah. I was like that’s why I’m walking bruh. End of story.

She/you has fam in Texas?

Her fam is in Texas. We're probably gonna be moving to Dallas in a few years. Getting sick of LA, the weather is great, but crime and cost of everything sucks here.

I've got fam down in the Dallas/Fort worth area too and other parts. I was born in SE Texas. Very humid there in the summer.

Wife's bday is valentines day, so its easy not to forget!

My wife's, son's, and mother's birthdays are all in May. Then my mother in laws is first day of June. It's like paying for two Christmas months because I get everyone presents both those times.

Yup. First time I went there, I got out of the Air Conditioned car and my glasses fogged up. I have to see if I can live there, we'll see whats up. It seems ok out there (Frisco/Plano) but will be doing trips to check out neighborhoods and vibes.

My late half brother was born and raised in Dallas ..played football at Texas A&M and practiced law in Dallas until he passed away a few years ago. His mom, my dad's first wife was one of the first in the 1940s to come out as lesbian and spend her life with her true love, a lovely woman...ahead of her time in Texas. I couldn't live in that state myself. Not my idea of a good time.

Costco's debit/credit systems down two days before Christmas. :NOTMARIS:
