Well, the most obvious interpretation is someone who was an all-star in 2007 and not in 2008. Otherwise, why mention 2 years at all? So that means Vince Carter.

Who seems like the least desirable option of all those mentioned, and thus the most likely.

I'm not a Vince fan, and I don't see that he'd fit with this team. I think trading for him would be KP's Kemp-gate.

So I'm hoping HCP was just pulling our penises.

vince carter would be much better than jamison. at least to me.

The only SFs who have been all stars in 2007 AND 2008 have been Butler and Jamison (in addition to LeBron). Carter did not make the team in 2008.

He'd plausibly be a small forward. And he's productive.

Really, though, I just picked the least impressive All-Star small forward from the last two years. I can't bring myself to hope for better.

barfo, I love you like a father, but I'm not seeing that comparison. Kemp was out of shape and no longer capable of playing the game at a high level. Carter is still very productive, plays good defense and would immediately be Portland's second-best player. He scores, rebounds, passes and defends. He also makes Julienne fries.

Caron Butler would be ridiculously awesome. Not a big fan of Carter, Jamison, etc.

I think people misunderstood my Jamison comment. I am not hoping for Jamison. Quite the opposite. I just can't bring myself to hope for better...you hope for Butler and get Jamison, that shit can break you.

i completely understand i would just much rather the blazers make no deal at all than trade for jamison.
