Your rep is one because you've been here for less than a year. Mine is two because I've been here for over a year (once I'm here for more than two years, it'll jump to three). In other, this isn't the kind of system where your rep goes up 144440 points when you're repped, like it was on BBF.

the rep power that you see under your name in posts is how much rep you give to people when you rep them. in the user cp you can see how many rep points you've gotten from when you've been repped.

or at least that's how i think it works.
