Some mocks still have him going to the Blazers at #10. Doesn't seem he's thrilled with the idea of playing for the Blazers. Seems like a head case, IMO.

So you have to respect a player who actually speaks honestly at this point in the process, as I believe Syracuse sophomore point guard Michael Carter-Williams, who Chad Ford has the Trail Blazers selecting in his most recent mock draft, did today when asked how he'd feel about going to a team like the Trail Blazers, a team that already has an established player, in this case, Damian Lillard, at his position.

"I interviewed with Portland; I never went to work out with them," said Carter-Williams. "This year they had a point guard in Damian Lillard. If I get chosen by them, it's not something I can do, it's not a particular place where I choose to go, but I'd go there and make the best of it and then see what happens when my time comes."

First of all, I hope to god the Blazers aren't considering this MC-W cat. He'd be like 30th on my list, if I had one. Secondly, and off the subject, I have seen a lot of tweets from that twat Holdahl over the last week or so and I have to say he's my new least favorite whatever it is he's trying to be. I'd rather read a tweet from Canzano that this dolt.

What's wrong with Casey's tweets?

As for MCW, gives an honest response that it doesn't seem like an ideal situation for him, being a PG, getting drafted behind Lillard. Don't see a big issue with it. Doesn't want to be a backup.

I get that, but it's a bit of much for a player drafted late-lotto/mid-first round to think he's going to waltz into a starting PG job in the NBA.

yeah..kinda my take on that as well

I dunno if it's waltzing in and expecting to start right off the bat. It's just, it's one thing to get picked by Dalls, Milwaukee, Sacramento, Detroit, Utah, etc. where he can at least COMPETE for the starting job. There's no competition here. He's 2nd string. There's having too big of expectations, which I don't think is the case here, and there's being real that you'd at least like the opportunity to compete for a starting job in the next 2-3 years.

I'll just take it as a young, competitive guy not really thinking about what he's saying. Because he could start in Portland, too, at his more natural position of SG. He's not an NBA PG. I liken him a bit to Tony Wroten, actually, and in a stronger draft, he'd barely be a first round pick.
