LOL at people not wanting to trade Elliott Williams to get Steve Nash in return.

LOL at people who want to give up young potential to rent Nash for 25 games + playoffs on a team that wont win a championship with him.
I think Nash will retire after this season.

Not if we go far in the playoffs. What if Oden actually returns too? The team would be contenders easily with just Oden being a defensive anchor.

I think if Oden actually does play, and that's a big if...he's much more likely to be a foul prone garbage time player than a rotation guy, let alone an impact player....

Agree. He hasnt played NBA ball in a looooooooooooooong time.

True but it's nice knowing we have Thomas and camby to fill in until he does.

What do you think about Bill Simmons's Nash-to-Portland scenario?

But what if the Blazers offered Raymond Felton, Nic Batum (whom they just passed on extending) and $3 million for Nash, with the wink-wink caveat that Phoenix then had to buy out his buddy Grant Hill's contract so Hill could sign with Portland? Could you go to war in the 2012 playoffs with LaMarcus Aldridge, Gerald Wallace, Marcus Camby, Wesley Matthews, Jamal Crawford, Hill, Kurt Thomas, Craig Smith and a rejuvenated-by-the-Pacific Northwest-and-a-title-shot-and-Rip City Steve Nash? Hell yeah! I haven't been this excited for a fake trade in years. Naturally, that means it won't happen.

Batum scares me. I actually think he will be really good. He's starting to have that fire in his play. Something I used to always complain about in the past.

I would much rather give them Felton and Matthews for Nash. Then if there was a "wink wink" for Hill; I would do that as well. :D

what do I think? Slow news day and he made this up and it's pure pure unaldulterated BS and will not happen. Makes no sense to give up Nic for a 40-day Nash rental..

No way i give up mathews to get nash. Felton and either a protected pick/euro or felton and some kind of babbit/johnson/johnson combo. I dont want to overpay for an ancient pg when i dont think he would take us to the finals
