saw this on the espn power rankings

We'll pass along Prof. Hollinger's recent Twitter scolding to Blazers fans: "Chill out. You played five quality teams and lost by six, three and four points. If this happened in January you wouldn't even blink."

Not true at all.

If Portland droped 3 out of 5 games the fan base would freak out regardless of when it happened.

Hmm, I remember a time, not really that long ago, when I would have been happy to only drop 3 out of 5.

Gramps...

Hollinger doesn't know shit about Blazer fans. Last night we had 5 - 6 pages of teeth nashing in the game thread after a 23-point win.

Some people just can't handle success. They always have to look for something negative.

Since when were those quality teams in our opening schedule? Two games against a severely outmatched Houston team (despite what the record says), Denver at home on the 2nd night of a delayed back to back, and Atlanta at home ... the only real quality game in our first 6 was the San Antonio win and they barely showed up to play.

I agree, except I stopped using the words "quality" and "Spurs" together in the same sentence a year ago.

When we finally DO play quality teams, we better play a lot better than we have so far.
