ESPN’s John Hollinger writes that the Nets have sent Sean Williams to Colorado not so much to develop his skills, but to showcase his “clear talent” to other NBA teams. “His biggest problem seems to be just remembering where to be on the floor,” he writes, “driving coaches crazy”. With the Nets excited about their other young bigs, “he’s pretty much auditioning for his next job” in the D-League.

I seems kinda bad if you showcase S. Williams this way to other teams. They are going to view him as being, overall, worse than Boone, Anderson, Yi, Swift, and Lopez. Basically, not good enough to be a starter or even backup. In other words, teams might see him as useless.

I really don't understand the kid, he was coming off the bench, beating out Swift in the rotation, then all of a sudden he just loses control over himself and loses the position he worked to gain.

If he proves himself that much, what's the harm into having him as the PF/C combo guy on our roster. I doubt Yi or Lopez will get benched which leaves Anderson and Boone backing up. Swift is a FA after the summer and we only have one draft pick which I doubt we use it on a big man unless he is a damn talented SF.

No harm in having a talented shot blocker come in every once in a while.
