6-game Central/East road trip and 3 back-to-backs. Granted, some of the East teams are not top-tier, but still, this should certainly test the mettle/poise/endurance of this team:

Sunday vs. Cleveland
Tuesday vs. LAC
Wednesday vs. Orlando
Friday @ San Antonio
Saturday @ Houston
Monday (16th) @ New Orleans
Wednesday(18th) @ Atlanta
Friday(20th) @ Toronto
Saturday(21st) @ Detroit

Yep we should really get a good view of how this team is going to handle this season based on what happens in those games.

Atlanta and maybe Orlando and the Clippers will be contests.

They really need a split on that road trip - the competition just isn't that tough.

that first one is going to be real real real rough..... a 730 game in LA that doesn't end till probably about 10-1030 then take a 5 hour flight to Orlando makes them arrive in orlando around 630 and then have a 4-430 game? fuuuuuck thats gnarly don't expect to win that one

Atlanta has been giving us fits the last few years. We need to start that game off strong or they're going to run away from us. Although they don't have a certain sixth man of the year anymore.

That sixth used to fucking kill us! I hated crawchuck when he was a hawk!

The LA and Orlando games are at home ASSFACE!

How the hell are the jazz still winning? How are we losing to the suns?

Well, let's see. They're on a four game win streak and have beaten:

1. A New Orleans team at home playing without Eric Gordon
2. A Milwaukee team at home that's devoid of any stars
3. A Memphis team at home playing without Darrell Arthur or Zach Randolph.
4. A Golden State team on the road playing without Steph Curry

Not exactly world beaters, in my opinion. We'll see what they're made of over the next 10 days when the face the Lakers, Denver, Clippers and Dallas. Don't see the Jazz winning any of those games.

I'm just glad we get the brutal part (or at least a good chunk of it) early in the year.

Shouldn't we mention our b2b2b which follows immediately after this road trip?

Monday (23rd) vs. Sacramento
Tuesday (24th) vs. Memphis
Wednesday (25th) @ Golden State

and then for good measure

Friday (27th) vs. Phoenix

Starting tomorrow, that's 12 games in 18 days, with about 8,000 miles of travel. And I have a feeling that many won't be satisfied with anything less than 8-4 over this stretch.

The way that this team plays when they are playing well I could see them going on a run and winning a lot of those games but the way we play on the road sometimes and wear of travel and b2b's is going to hurt and I think that 6-6 or 7-5 sounds pretty nice considering. I wish I wasnt so lazy that I willing to take the time to see how many of those opponents are on b2b's and such. We will get caught sleeping in at least one of those road games that we "should" win.

If the Blazers beat the Clippers tomorrow night (I'm anticipating that they will), then they will have defeated 3 current division leaders.

We're going to need the crowd to show for these next two games. The Clips and Orlando are both good teams.

Orlando Played last night at Sac and will not play til us! Must be nice. After the game D12 had against the Kings, I expect him to put 20 and 20 on us at least.

^Nice read about whats going on right now. It is chaos. We have already got to out hotels in OKC at 4:00AM and PHX at 3:00 AM. That takes a toll. Crazy road ahead FAMS!

Yes, but John Canzano doesn't think it's so bad!

I saw that. That read is exactly why I hate him. If he went on the road with the team and had to endure those hours, I'm sure he would look at things differently. Such a dick!

How's the bench strength? Maybe you can pick up a young video assistant from the D-League to come into the game early for you?

No offense, HCP, but I think we have to throw out travel as an "excuse". All teams have to go through it. In other words, it's purely relative. I've always had a benchmark that, if the team wins 50% of their road games, they're doing fine. More than 50% is getting into that top-tier category.

I see your point. But I bet we travel twice as much as any central or midwest team by the end of the season.

And realistically the only two teams we are remotely close to is Utah and Golden State. Everything else is pretty damn far away.

I used to travel a lot for business and I know how tiring it is. It's so tiring that I hired someone to represent our businesses. I just hated it.

Hire me Mags for the summer!

LOL!!!!!! Wanna know my most brutal trip? We had a convention in South Africa. I took something like a 13 hour flight to Heathrow, then had a 6 hour layover, then another 13 hour flight to South Africa.

See. I could have done that trip for you....... I love the blacks!
