Houston fan here. You guys were definitely the better team and congrats on the win. I'm not so sure why the Rockets are so hated around the league all of a sudden (Personally I believe it's better, it means other fans actually think your team is relevant.) but it is what it is. Rocket fans have never really had any issues with you guys. You're not the Jazz or the Mavs and I'm sure Rocket fans said a few things during the series...it's a playoff series, that's to be expected. I'm sure a lot of Rocket fans are salty right now too, it was a tough loss after all and in general Houston Sports ranks somewhere right around Cleveland sports except Houston Sports teams give you hope only to take it away...

You guys have a bright future and I have a feeling our teams will be meeting up in the playoffs again some time in the future...if the Basketball Gods will keep our stars healthy this time around.

We really needed this win. As a franchise, as a fan base. Its been so long and we've had to endure so much. We had to get that monkey off our back since that Game 7, 2000 WCF collapse. Most of us haven't been right since then.

I really don't get it. They shot more free throws on our floor and that call that gave them the ball back which ultimately got them the lead was completely blown by the refs. I have never in the history of this franchise heard anyone say that our team benefits from superstar calls. Is this what it's like being a Laker fan?

I have a feeling your right that we will be meeting in the playoffs in the future, I just hope I dont have a heart attack next time we meet you guys in the post season. Such an intense series. If harden ever starts playing D you guys will win a ring with that group

People, including me, hate your team (yes I hate them) because of the Dwightmare he put the whole league through 2 years in a row. And the rest of those fools (mainly because I'm a ref) are hated because they are FLOPPERS. Even your "tough guy" Beverly is a flopper.

My best friend is from Houston and is a huge fan. I am sure he will punch me out in the morning. But until then .... I have been perusing the boards and I am shocked at the amount of Houston hate. I think a lot of it has to do Dwight Howard and the flopping. I have nothing but respect for your team but if I had to see Harden rush into one of our players again I was going to puke. Don't worry. You have two titles in the not-so-distant past and a decent young team. We needed this win more. I think the future of our franchise may have depended on it in a way. Sorry for any of my colleagues who rubs you guys the wrong way. It is the internet and they are thirsty.

No, I hate their fans because they are easily one of the biggest flopping teams in the league, and yet their fans actually blame their loss on the refs. I've never seen anything like it. A huge part of their game plan is to work the refs, but it's like their fans don't realize what's going on. They're completely oblivious to how Harden games the refs. It's so annoying. They legitimately think that the Blazers won because of superstar calls. They have the best shooting guard and the best center in the league, and we won because of superstar calls? It just pisses me off.

Fantastic post and repped. I had been a longstanding member of Clutchfans (since 2009) and posted regularly on the forum, always respectful of where I was (you can look up my posts under this same moniker in Clutchfans). I NEVER trolled; I simply looked for the Rockets' fan point of view. After Game Two, they changed my posts to having to be approved by a moderator. None of my dozens of posts ever made it on to that board. And this morning, I discover they banned me permanently with no explanation.

I look forward to another 4-5 years of our teams going head-to-head. Perhaps we won't be so jobbed and can meet in the WCF next time instead of the first round. :cheers:

I think a lot of it is they get those calls all regular season, to a point where it becomes the norm. EVERY SINGLE FLOP gets them a whistle. Then, playoffs come, and Harden wasn't getting those same flop calls because of great defense by Wesley and Nic and it's not our good defense, it's the refs fault for not continuing the same shitty treatment. Tehy've grown so accustomed to getting every call that when they don't, clearly it's rigged against them. Fuck 'em. They can bitch about it all offseason, which started last night!

LOL. So, at the start of the series, Beverly's tenacious D was going to shut Lillard down.

Lillard destroys Beverly, and they only talk about how bad their D was, Lillard's luck, etc. No credit to the man that destroyed your team.
 
I said in another thread, but I would like to formally thank the entire Rockets team for preparing the Blazers for a deep playoff run. This Blazers team is now better and better prepared for the playoffs thanks to this series. After these hard fought games, I fear no other team in the league.
