Always thought that was the bottom line. Near the palatial spread in Connecticut...and his financial advisor, Steven A. Cohen.
 
Rotoworld says Nets are "leading therace" for Houston's services...of course if he didnt do well today, that could be moot.</p>

well, there's still time yet. hopefully this is an indicator, but only time can tell.
 
I've also heard that the Knicks are in the lead (from his agent, I think?) I don't know what to believe anymore.

If you're not sure what to believe, you can almost certainly start by crossing out whatever the agent has to say. </p>
 
That report of the Nets leading came out today. I believe the report of his agent saying the Knicks were in the league is from a few days ago.
 
im glad houston is scrimming with us now so we can start to move foward. for a little bit i thought this would be a SAR type of deal where we wanted one guy and all the other options went off the table when the SAR deal fell apart. i like JJ as well and feel more comfortable with him over houston at the moment because i am now sure what houston can do on the court aside from shoot. i just did not want us to wait,wait and wait somemore to get an answer from houston and have JJ sign somewhere else without know if houston would even make the team. </p>

i would be suprised if there are more negative things to say about him from the scrim than positive things. i think even if he isnt what we would like he would get the benefit of the doubt because of who he is. i guess tomorrow morning we can find out how close we are to signing him or if there are too many red flags for management to make a comitment yet. </p>
 
This is a great sign for us. We wanted Posey, but couldn't get him. Houston could play the same role that Posey would have. He will come off the bench and kill opposing teams like Nachbar has been doing.

there is one huge difference between the two (other than age and position lol)</p>

Posey is a good defender. houston on the hand, is an enigma right now. Who knows if he has improved or got worse defensively.</p>

They still have similiar offensive games. Plus there only like 2-4 inches apart. </p>

i didnt say that they dont have similar offensive games. I said the main difference is defense and then after that is their position. Houston is a natural 2 while Posey is more of a 3. </p>

Houston would replace Eddie House, that's all, as backup SG. House, 6'1", played an average of 16.9 minutes in 56 games, and suffered two serious injuries. He averaged 8.4 ppg and shot 43% from beyond the arc. That's not a very high bar for Houston if he is as healthy as reported.
