How Blazers were ranked as high school recruits

That was great. Thanks for posting it.

I'm going to disagree with the writer's final statement in the article though. It's not a logical conclusion. Just because Dame is arguably a better NBA talent right now than others in his high school class, does not mean Dame was better than all of them back in high school. He used the same faulty logic when he claimed CJ should have been ranked No. 3 in his high school class, based on how C.J. is playing this season.

Class of 2008 - 2* PG
A Rivals two-star point guard in the class of 2008, NBA MVP darkhorse candidate Damian Lillard has exceeded his recruiting ranking by leaps and bounds.

Given that the No. 1 prospect that year was B.J. Mullens, Lillard could definitely make the claim as the No. 1 talent in that class in hindsight.

Of course, he'd also have to beat out fellow classmates Jrue Holiday, Demar DeRozan, Kemba Walker, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green for that spot.

Based on this season's performance, one could certainly make the case he was the nation's top talent.
Nope. That's just a dumb statement.

Dame has focused and worked extremely hard to get where he's at, which makes his accomplishments all the more impressive. Same goes for C.J.
