Nope, they in.
I was just asking, cause that lady said it would be “epic”. Do baseball teams not sit players when they have spots wrapped up like other sports? Wouldn’t seem “epic” if the
Mo-Tany guy ain’t playin’.

Ohtani will be playing, but baseball when you have playoffs wrapped up (unless the division is close), you set up your pitchers for optimal starting pitching matchups in the playoffs.

So ohtani might pitch a day earlier or a day later to set up the best pitching matchups in the playoffs.

He will most likely DH all the games though.

NBA Playoffs….College football ……March Madness….Women’s D1 West Coast Conference Soccer?
I would mock you here but really I just feel pity for you not getting to enjoy the best postseason sport to it's fullest. Baseball playoffs can literally hang on the next pitch, where ever they are at in a game. There is so much anxiety built up over the course of 9 innings that it can just be a beautiful torture chamber of emotions. No other sport comes close except for maybe playoff hockey, that is a crazy fun/emotional time as well.

The series against the Dodgers should be EPIC!
Sadly (or maybe not so sadly) it will probably shape up to be a series of just getting guys work as both teams SHOULD have their divisions wrapped up by then. Seattle needs a combo of only three wins by them or loses from Houston to wrap up the ALW and the Dodgers are in a similar situation as they hold the tiebreaker and a 2.5 game lead on SD. As nice as it is to miss out on the WC round and not have to worry about elimination, in a sport like baseball where the day to day grind probably helps these guys, I fear a team being as hot as Seattle losing their momentum with an extended break.

It’s so crazy because literally one swing of the bat can change an entire series. The game is very seldom over until it’s finished. We have watched this for a century and some people still don’t get it.

I have to agree NBA playoffs can get good but there are a bunch of blowouts. Football is one game but yes the endings can be exciting.
I’m a sports fan so I like most all of them.
Baseball is different in October. Not much like it.

If Robles mistimes that jump, that ball misses the sliding Julio and thats a 3 run inside the park home run and they win the game and the division is tied again. Instead now we have a 3 game lead in the division. (4 really, because of the tie breaker, which this catch also secured)

That was one of the wildest catches ive ever seen, given the circumstances.

If Alexander threw a fastball instead of a slider to Crawford in the 2nd? What was he thinking going outside like that to a lefty? With the bases loaded even?

WRONG!

OK how many NBA series have come back from 0-3? RedSox did it in 2004 vs the Yankees. Not only that but it ended an 86 year World series Curse of the Bambino! Talk about history and excitement.

Are we talking the actual game itself or the outcome of the series. Sorry son, baseball puts people to sleep.

Pretty rich you asking for a link on anything when all you come with is "WRONG" or it's a proven fact but don't have any facts ... give up the schtick my man and just exit the convo if you have nothing to add. #BAM

How about the other 298 they played that season brother?
So now we gone say NBA and all their rest days are epic? Okay. Please. This isn’t a debate here.
I said October Baseball is exciting. That’s the way I see it here my friend. It’s pretty much all I watch unless something really big is going on like a HR race through 70-80 games.

You are no friend of mine if you enjoy baseball!

For someone that gets his panties in a twist in the "What's Going on in Portland" thread over any little negative thing said about the city, you sure do love to shit on things other people are passionate about. I know it's all in good fun and you're just trolling but damn man you post as much if not more in the baseball/Beavs thread as any other I see on here. #FuckSoccer #DuckTheFucks

Woah…. WOAH.. WOAHHHHH!

Wait just a gosh darn minute…

I'll be watching and rooting for the Mariners when the playoffs start. I fully admit I am a bandwagon Mariner fan. I haven't watched a single Mariner game or any MLB game all season. But I'll hop on the bandwagon and root for them during the playoffs.

Let me let you in on a little secret. I beat the Grant generals every time I faced them on my way to winning the State Championship in 1981 and making the State Finals in 1982. I beat the Generals so bad they asked my coach to pull me after 6 innings of shut out and my coach said no way and yes I threw another shutout against their weak ass hitters.
Let me say that again. I absolutely OWNED the Grant Generals for 2 consecutive years.

BAM! FAMS!

I'm absolutely a bandwagon fan of the Mariners. I'm actually a Giants fan. Niners and Giants.

hahaha ... sometimes others get caught in the cross fire ... sorry! That said I've never been a fan of the sport, I find it dreadfully boring but am trying to appreciate it more.
Fair enough bro, I know a lot of people aren’t into it. I figure it’s probably the way people feel about other sports. Soccer is definitely more popular in Europe.
