Can we finally get a team here so we can stop cheering for the Mariners and Seattle sports
I’m serious when I say this. Not one contractor has even spoke to me about the possibility of building a stadium since last year. Current economic climate is pretty tough at this point.

I'm not surprised, Utah is clearly getting one of the expansion teams, so we'll be stuck cheering for Seattle and Norcal teams forever here

I think that, and as much as the location visually looks cool, is true. Plus, I still don't buy that it's a legit prospect.

Dunno whats going to happen first, Im in a retirement home, or the mariners make the world series. No faith in the latter.

bc expansion hasn’t been announced. The plan all along has been nothing will be started until Portland gets announced..

Well. You actually have it backwards. The idea has always been to show they were capable and willing with financing in place and a deal available. Then the league needs to make a decision. It's very possible the league will pass over Portland and choose Utah, Nashville, Charlotte, even San Antonio before Portland.

Karma? Fans should not have cheered when their player was hit/hurt by a pitch?
In fairness to the fans ... Springer is a hated figure across much of baseball but especially in the AL West for being a massive part of the cheating in Houston. Still don't like the cheers but also if you've ever been to a Blue Jays game in Seattle, it's a weird rivalry where all of Canada gets behind that team and the fans flood down from BC. I've been to two games against Toronto in Seattle and will never go to another one. Plus the guy just has a face you'd love to punch!

It's doubtful that they'll pick Nashville as they don't really have any thing set up, same with Charlotte. Nashville became the sexxy pick, even though if you look into it their effort is far behind that of Utah and Portland.

Realistically, if they decide to do a east coast and west coast, I think it's between Portland/Utah and another city out east. But imho thinking they have to go east/West would be stupid, because west of the Mississippi , MLB has 11 teams (and west of Colorado there are a *total* of 7). There are 10 teams within 600 miles from Nashville, for example, and there are zero teams within 600 miles of Seattle. Hell, the closest MLB team to Seattle is (Sacramento) is still over 700 miles away.

My sister went to games in Seattle and Toronto this year, and they said both fans treated them like shit. Including a lot of childish stuff.

But she said the Mariner fans mostly spent their time on their phones looking up shit to say about the players on the other team.

Getting swept sucks but at least you can tip your cap and say the other team was simply better. Seven games, losing a lead late, that stays. Keep replaying. As Blazers fans are painfully aware.

Maybe ... I'm not too worried about other Mariner fans when I'm at a game but easy to see how annoying Blue Jay fans are. Not on the level of Laker fans at the RG, but one level down from that.
