You pretty much described why DMC should be our #1 target.
I wouldn't be surprised if Sac let him walk if the offer is on the high side. I get the feeling they agree it's not working for him with the Kings. He needs a fresh start. So a sign and trade would be in the King's best interest.
His agent wants around 10 million a year. I just get a bad feeling about him. Will he work once he gets paid? I admit I know nothing about him other than what I see on the court. But when you are dishing out that kind of money he needs to be all about winning. Hopefully the Blazers will do their due diligence on any player they are signing. I kind of trust Olshey in that regards.
If sac let's Evens walk I sure as hell hope the Blazers go after him! Y have to take a risk at some point and I think this would be a good risk. No way Evens get 10 mill a year, he will get around 6-8.

Never said he shouldn't be.
But this thread is about Tyreke.
I wonder if Cousins is available? I wonder if we could trade for both of them? But even a franchise as horrible as Sac wouldn't trade their only two talented players, right?
Has a team with multiple Rookie of the Year's ever made it out of the 1st round?

I've hated Tyreke's game all the way back to his rookie season. But these past several months I'm completely on-board with trying to get him, but ONLY as a 6th man. Wes should remain the starter. This gives us better defense and outside shooting in the starting unit, allows Lillard to have the ball in his hands most of the time, and then puts the ball in Tyreke's hands with the bench unit. This plays to everyones strengths and maximizes our players abilities.
If you put Wes on the bench then we're still stuck with a bench that doesn't have a player who can create dribble-score opportunities. And in the starting unit you've got a terrible defensive backcourt, and the defense can collapse into the paint off of Evans.
Depends on who they get back in return. I bet #10, Batum and Leonard for those two would be fine.

Be honest, if you played for Sacramento would you have the will to defend?
He sure doesn't look very athletic taking the ball at the rim. Lillard dunks more than Evans does
You're right. He seems to play more of a Euro game, going around and under defenders rather than zipping past or elevating over them. Interesting observation.
There is something to be said about the effectiveness of that if done correctly. One it shows bball smarts which is always a good thing and two, look at how well it has worked for Nash. I know you can really compare Nash and Tyreke overall but in this area (finishing at the hoop smartly and effectively) maybe you can.

What an odd bump.
