Wife?

Maid?

Parents?

Just wondering because what I'm doing now ain't working.

:devilwink:

lysol wipes. But do not mix with bleach wipes! :ohno:

I'm thinking just throw everything away. I have a magical trash chute in the hallway, I throw anything down it and its gone forever!

Use the trash chute and get rid of anything you haven't used in the last six weeks.
Then hire a cleaning lady to come once a month.

me...leave a spray bottle of all purpose cleaner on your kitchen counter...you will clean more

....do 5 minutes of cleaning every day, dont wait for it to pile up to a half day job

In my bachelor days I used to get up at five in the morning, take a couple of bong hits, run around and pick things up real quick, vaccum, wipe off counters, take out trash, another bong hit and then back to bed. We called it a BLITZKRIEG. We were half awake and loaded and barely noticed what we were doing. When we woke up in the morning it was like the fairies had cleaned up overnight.

lol...same idea but I clean when Im drunk

Parents have a condo in LA. Maybe I'll just dump a bunch of crap over there.

My dream is to make my place like a hotel.

Currently, i have a lot of random shit...lots of kicks, lots of old electronics. I have a strange obession buying t-shirts too.

the thing is I am good at hiding the mess inside closets and under the bed so when people are over, its actually pretty nice.

I generally always clean up after myself (try and get into that habit, makes life easier) but if my flat starts to get dirty I'll make a mental note to give a good clean that weekend, or whenever I have free time. My method rarely works for other people. :dunno:

Keep the place tidy (easy, no man lives there!) (yes I am stereotyping) and give it a good cleaning every Sunday morning. I use only scent free cleaners since scented products make me really sick. Basic cleaner, cheap and effective, one part white vinegar, the cheap kind sold by the gallon, 3 parts water in a spray bottle. Good on any counters and surfaces. For floors, 1/2 cup vinegar in a gallon of water.

Take cat boxes and compost bin outside and soak for an hour in water with unscented bleach, then air dry - the sun (unless it's raining) deodorizes.

I hire a naughty maid.

Does your house smell like a hospital?

Just do it my way. Never let anyone in. You might have to mow the grass once every summer to keep the nosy neighbor off track. Always borrow her mower and that will make her back off.

Not at all. Right after I clean there is a faint vinegar smell but it quickly dissipates because I open the windows.

BlazerCaravan is on track, my house usually smells like whatever I'm cooking/baking. Made some double chocolate peppermint brownies. They completely overrode the enchiladas I'd made previous day.

In the late 1980's I was in the Navy and had to spend a little bit of time in the Philippines. When I got there another guy & I took some little hut on base for TAQ. It wasn't long before this young "Phlip" gal came to the door and offered to clean and wash ("no sex", she stated) the hut and out clothes. For the month we were there she did a perfect job. When we left we had no idea what to pay he, so we each gave her $40. She gave us a wierd look and left without a word. Feeling we had underpaid her we asked an old salt stationed there and he told us $10 total would have been too much and she probably thought we were idiots.

So, if you;re ever in the Philippines, good maid service is cheap.

Wow, that sounds amazing. Can you make me something? ;)
