I've had a couple of incidents tonight that have really spiked my blood pressure; the second of which caused me to go on a long "quiet yelling" rant (so that I don't wake the whole apartment complex) until I exhausted myself.
The first was dealing with someone in tonight's game thread, and the second was my constantly loud neighbors. The incident in the game thread has been dealt with, but my neighbors above me has been an ongoing problem since they moved in here about a year ago.
Tonight, after banging on the ceiling and going on my rant, I had a fantasy about going to my manager tomorrow and letting her have a HUUUUGE ear full about this. I complained 6 months ago, and she didn't do a fucking thing about it, and actually argued with me about it instead. Terrible, terrible manager.
Obviously, I would like to avoid going there and going berserk, as much as it appeals to me in the middle of a rant. But I can't take much more of this shit. It's really stressing me out. It's every goddamn day, multiple times a day with these assholes.
I'm trying to buy a house in Idaho to get away from this shit, but it's a long process, and I'll be lucky if I'm there 2 or 3 years from now. So that's not an overnight thing.
So what do you do for stress relief? I'm in counseling for a host of personal issues, but that's once every 2 weeks, and it's just talk, and I just started seeing this guy about a month ago or so. I need ACTION.
I've just started looking at Stress Relief classes near me; something which I've never considered until now. It looks like much of it involves Yoga, which I don't have a problem with, but with my weight, I'm not sure how realistic it is.
I'm not up for going on walks.....I've done it before and it's not really great to do at the moment, obviously, because of the weather. That, and I just don't get satisfaction out of it. But full disclosure, I also don't do it often.
So what do you do for stress relief? Has anyone here tried Yoga or breathing exercises? I'm all ears.....though one doesn't work, lol.
Thanks.
Sounds like we need to have a forum poker night.
I get the same symptoms posting on here.

Listen to her live content. She is incredible. If that is not your cup tea then I recommend this;
Edit: Maybe listen on Pandora, Spotify, etc so you can immerse yourself in the music. With headphones or without.
You're a moderator? WowWell, to deal with stress, I start arguments, and then turn the subject around to somehow either make it about something else, or I give you one-line answers that are so outlandish it just makes you scratch your head. Or I'll pretend to agree with you about something, when in reality I'm mocking the very clear point you're trying to make.
I'm very good at that. It's a shame I'm not good at anything else........like being a moderator.

How do I deal with stress? I put slypokerdog on ignore.
I can't. How do you do this?

Very very easily.I can't. How do you do this?
I very rarely get that type of stressed anymore. My stresses are usually either work or money related. But when I do get stressed, I like to do some of the following:
Work on a project
Drive somewhere beautiful
Drink a glass of really good wine - one that in some way I have a connection with.
go on a bike ride
fuck (perhaps I should have put this one earlier on the list)
write or cook, something creative
What other people suggest that doesn't work for me:
Drink or smoke to intoxication
go to the gym
yoga / meditate
I go onto forums and I draw them into arguments that cannot be won by either side.
Oh, and I also make fun of Slypokerdog.
Do something nice for someone.
Camping is good for the soul! Thanks everyone for your suggestions. Further mentioned driving somewhere nice. Now that I have a nice, comfy Cadillac SLS land yacht to drive, I'm going to do just that. Something which I wasn't able to do in the little shitbox Kia I drove. I might even go camping.....I did that a lot when I was in Scouts.
So today I'm driving to Camas to Top Burger, which my mother used to take my sister and I to when we were kids. I might find some nice road in Washougal to drive on too.

great choice - just remember not to let traffic or road assholes get under your skin. When you drive for relaxation- you have nowhere you need to be.Thanks everyone for your suggestions.
