I will never like the Spurs and pray for the day they are no longer good at basketball but I also respect them. I want to know how you guys feel about this team since one of your top players bolted to sign with them, and they got D. West for vet minimum on top of that.

Love them; great management and how could you not like Duncan, Parker, Ginobli, Robinson? They've built a winning culture - in a relatively small market. I'm not sure why anyone would dislike them.

That said, I don't hope they win or anything and I really don't care about LaMarcus leaving as much as most people do; I think we hit our ceiling with him. He wasn't ever going to lead this team to the title as te #1 option.

Hate that Duncan preached do as I say not as I do re: LA.

Atlas, they play the right way and Kawhi is a Gem so I'll probably end up rooting for them in the playoffs.

Who cares?

Im a fan of the spurs skills to recruit. They are and pretty much always have been contenders and with the addition of LA and David West also with theere returning players i wouldn't be surprised to see them make it to the finals this year.

The way I feel about the Spur is that they have there own forum, as do the Clippers and Mavs..we need another around the NBA thread to merge all these other team topics

I respect their coaching staff, scouting/player developmental system, and some of their players. That's about it. All that respect goes out the door once they face our team on the court. Then the Blazer Maniac takes over and demands carnage in the form of a Blazer win!

They play basketball the right way. Love watching them play.

They were my second-favorite team; now I'll have to uncheer them until aldridge goes away . . .

This, I'm bitter and hope this turns out like the Lakers Gary Payton/Karl Malone experiment. I hope #12 goes into a pout/ mope because he's not the main guy. I hope he is so unhappy he opts out when he can. And that he wants to come back to Portland to finish what he started and we tell him no thanks.

Finally I hope he never ever ever wins a ring.

They are a legit organization to say the least. Pretty envious actually
Would have been nice to see LA stay in portland though they have the squad that can win it all if they could have just found there beat but ehhhh

The man that once was my favorite player ever burned that bridge.

He's dead to me...

Aldridge is the perfect cancer to destroy their chemistry.
Idk man it could be really good for them if they learn to play together i see a chip for them next year if things go how they want it with LA

I think when the Duncan ship sail, Pop will soon follow. Aldridge will be left wondering what the fuck just happened

Ill give timmy 2 more years and thats highballing pops gone when tims gone also But he still has KL who is the future of that team so in all reality he will still come in behind someone KL is young and has so much room to grow LA is 30 now time to start smelling the roses that his superstar days are going to come to a halt soon

Funny, this is exactly what came to my mind after I saw they were getting West for the vet min. They lost alot of depth though so next season will be challenging for them for sure.
