Every year I go to fewer and fewer games. Instead, the home viewing experience has gotten so good I usually opt for that. I still enjoy going to games every now and then, but now the seats need to be good or its just not worth it. And then there is the money issue. Cost of tickets, parking, beverages, food, and any other swag all add up to a very expensive night.
I have a big, clear tv, a comfortable couch, all the beer and snacks I want easily accessible. And, I can flick around to different channels, different games, and have my iPad next to me to follow posts, tweets, and other games.
For me, the game is just better from home, with or without friends.
