People need to stand up to lawlessness in their neighborhoods if authorities are not. Anarchy is what they want along with stolen property.
From what I've seen they were pointing their guns at people who were just walking around outside their property. And how? This is where the second amendment comes into play.
Imagine if we had a zero gun policy?
and now all of a sudden that couple who brandished arms on a crowd decending on their property doesnt seem all that out of line does it?
people will do what it rakes to protect their own.
The shame that couple endured for chasing off a potential raid on their place was over the top.
its turning into the wild west again. More and more people talking about carrying weapons in case of a car hack etc…
no win situation all the way around.

You can't do that. That's called brandishing, and it's against the law.
That's illegal. I can't just go point my gun at people with argument that me pointing the gun at them is the reason they didn't mug me.maybe the weapons kept them on the street and off their property?
Point being the fear is real.
Apparently you are wrong in the state of Missouri. That's illegal. I can't just go point my gun at people with argument that me pointing the gun at them is the reason they didn't mug me.
They are idiots who made gun ownership look like a dangerous joke.
And yes, the FEAR is real. Caused by right wing news networks. This is how January 6th happened and how people actually thought it was OK.maybe the weapons kept them on the street and off their property?

That's what's wrong with supporting and spreading misinformation.

It is disturbing that you don't know the answer to this question.well of course its illegal. And so is car jacking, train robbing and armed robbery of anothers’ possessions.
So when is breaking the law okay to defend ones self and possessions against criminals or people looking to commit a crime against you?
None of that has anything to do with pointing guns at nonviolent people on public streets. Are you saying people arent getting jacked at an alarmingly increasing rate?
Is it not factual, that looting and robbing has escalated to never before seen numbers in our modern world?
if this is happening the. The fear is real due to actual accurances. both side propagate things to fit a narrative.
But they physical evidence is there that its out of control.
For exaMple. I was just at the wells fargo on 82nd and powell yesterday. They were boarding up two windows. Talking to the manager while in line, he has seen three people robbed at the atm outside the bank. Has had a customer wave a gun and then run out of the bank. Said he was at the division branch three months before and had a person shot outside the bank for their atm withdrawal.
The fear is real for far more than just right wing spin. No matter how much you want to dismiss or minimize whats actually going on.
It is disturbing that you don't know the answer to this question.
If that crowd was physically attempting to get in their house they would have been within their rights. You can't just point guns at people on the street. If you do you deserve every bit of blowback and public humiliation to receive.
How do you tell whether they have bad intentions or not if you threaten them outside of your property boundary?None of that has anything to do with pointing guns at nonviolent people on public streets.
This attempt by you to equate peaceful people on public roads with muggers jacking people at the ATM is part of the problem.

There have been plenty of protest marches down a public street where no property was stolen or damaged, how do you tell if one is ill intentioned? I remember one time when I was on a sparsely populated mountain, Bald Peak, trying to find a friend's house when my gas gauge got down to the bottom of red warning zone. I stopped at a house that turned out to be about a quarter mile from my friend and asked to use the phone to call my friend and bring a gas can full of gas so I could get to his house and back home after my visit. I was ordered off the property immediately. This was before GPS or cell phones. Another time I got lost, again before GPS or cell phones, in Seattle when I was new there. I pulled over to use my map and someone came out of their house and ordered me to be on my way right now.i know the laws. And you gave the answer i somewhat expected. You compared apples to oranges.
whats disturbing to me, is you equating a protesting crowd surging down a street that has been known to peer in peoples homes, damage property and exert violence as being the same as random passerbys.
apples to oranges.

How do you tell who's a shark and who isn't?You cant. And there in lies the problem.
Unfortunately when some of the crowds turned a blind eye and dismissed the outliers causing damage, it put fear into people that any crowd will have outliers looking for nothing more than chaos and anarchy. These people have largely been suppressed prior to being accepted to march within the peaceful protestors. With their acceptance of such behavior it leaves most people to assume the worst, for fear of the safety of themselves and their property.
put it this way. There are more docile sharks and more aggressive sharks. If swimming in the ocean and doing a shark view or something with docile sharks and an aggressive type comes around, do you really trust any of them anymore? Or do you aim your electric shock stick at any of them that come too close?
How do you tell who's a shark and who isn't?
You have to have the mindset of Marshal Dillion. Be cordial, helpful, alert and Be Prepared. How do you tell who's a shark and who isn't?
You absolutely can. When they are physically trying to eat you, you can assume they are dangerous and threaten them.Thats my point Lanny, you cant. So when a crowd allows sharks in it to roam wild, and then that crowd is heading down your street, the common reaction is get prepared to defend thyself and thy property.
You aren't allowed to start shooting the mean looking sharks either... Unless they actually attack you. And even then, there may be consequences. You cant. And there in lies the problem.

What is the evidence that these people were doing that, and how did the homeowners verify that these were the same people?i know the laws. And you gave the answer i somewhat expected. You compared apples to oranges.

Pointing guns at nonviolent people "surging down the street" should not be condoned or encouraged in any way.
That's how innocent people get shot and more support is built for further gun restrictions.
This macho gun waving bullshit is a huge problem.
