I think Larry Brown did it with the 76ers and Pistons...didn't have allstars but achieved really high success by brilliant coachingGreat post. This is the answer, always and forever. Throughout history the great coaches have also had great players. Could Jackson have coaches a non MJ Bulls team or a non Kobe/Shaq Lakers team to titles? What about popovich without Duncan/Robinson/Parker/Manu? Doc Rivers won a couple in Boston because of the players he had. He's got tons of talent in LAC, but still hasn't won one there.
