Great post. This is the answer, always and forever. Throughout history the great coaches have also had great players. Could Jackson have coaches a non MJ Bulls team or a non Kobe/Shaq Lakers team to titles? What about popovich without Duncan/Robinson/Parker/Manu? Doc Rivers won a couple in Boston because of the players he had. He's got tons of talent in LAC, but still hasn't won one there.

I think Larry Brown did it with the 76ers and Pistons...didn't have allstars but achieved really high success by brilliant coaching
